Default Worst Excuses for losing a boxing match

Off the bat, Deontay Wilder's claims that a 45-pound costume fatigued his legs before Tyson Fury gave him an ass whooping HAS to be ranked somewhere up there among the top worst of all time.

What comes to mind next is George Foreman who said everything from the Nation of Islam loosened the ropes, to his food was poisoned, to the odd comment that he saw a friend in the crowd rooting for Ali and felt betrayed, losing his concentration and therefore the Rumble.

I can also recall Tommy Hearns/Emmanuel Steward claiming a leg massage in the dressing room weakened his legs and cost him the fight with Hagler. BUt then there was RJJ claiming he lost his 3rd fight with Tarver because his father was in his corner and he couldnt bear the thought of his father taking credit if he beat Tarver.

It wasn't a loss but a draw... but I seem to recall something about the wrong socks for Manny Pac. I like Manny... but this didn't come across very well.

Then there's David Haye and his Toe-gate. Haye I don't like.... so I'm happy he got all sorts of shit for that asinine excuse.... especially after all the trash he talked before the fight.

Apparently Hamed lost to Barrera because it was Gods Will, or so he claimed.
It had nothing to do with the fact Barrera was a far better fighter.

Excellent example. Hamed was a real piece of work. Barrera really kicked his ass. Very satisfying to watch.

Witherspoon had beaten Smith the first time but this was a first round stoppage loss. So it could be true.

Maybe he should've entered the ring on his magic carpet instead of that cheap looking contraption he used.
