Times the sky looked odd
At times, the sky doesn't look like the sky, but rather resembles candy/envelopes/mountains, etc., and its color too can throw you off when it is peach/rose/periwinkle shades or "hues". Times the sky looked ~off~ are when you can picture a UFO piercing through the clouds and some people believe angels can descend during these "off" times with the sky. Sunset is especially breathlessly awaiting an Angel Event or even a flying saucer to streak through and the sky in general at sunset makes you think something is about to happen, but you don't know what. How often have you even noticed the sky looking "off" and you get an odd feeling?

Some people you are right, can really see the sky as being odd or "off" if they are taking drugs, etc. But a lot of people have seen things in the sky, descending and sometimes ascending, that cannot be explained. I know a retired engineer down the block who told me last week he saw clearly a dark grey cigar shaped object appear from behind clouds at sunset. It was there was 5 seconds and then he said it sped back behind the clouds. The sly looked "off" he said, like it was bending in a concave-like shape right where he saw the object.
