This is a great match up and one which is as even as they come im gunning for Moore, but Macklin might well have better skills, but on the other hand Moore is far more experienced, what do you guys think??

sorry to sound like a bore skel, its just i have no idea who they are![]()
No probs mate i'll give you a little insight and anyone else who is not sure:
Moore was involved in two of the best domestic fights you are likely to see in 2005 against Micheal Jones, the second one was Sky Sports domestic fight of the year, i think in total there was 6 knockdowns in 6 rounds before Moore eventully stopped Jones in his tracks.
Jamie Moore is the current 160 British Champion. He has also been cheif sparring partner to Ferlix Strum in the past and is hard as nails.
His style is to get inside and throw lots of hard hooks to the body.
Macklin i have only seen fight once but he looks to be the more skilled and can fight at range, he is the current 160 Irish Champion and trains with Billy Graham and Ricky Hatton at the phoenix gym in Denton.
Moore has had much more experience but Macklin is defintly on the rise and could be ready for this step up in class.
I really think this could be another fight of the year and the bookies agree both fighters are currently trading at 5/6 each, which proves this is a tough one to call.
Im sticking my neck out and going with Moore in a real ring war TKO 7.
I think it's on Sky Sports 1 on Friday 5th May 2006.
I think im going it's at the Altrincham leisure centre ( i think that's the name) in Cheshire.
cheers for the info

I'm very excited about it. How do you think Moore wil handle moving up in weight? And how much do you think the Jones fights took out of him?Originally Posted by skel1983

It's a tough one to call you can forsee any outcome.
I think your right with bringing what Moore has left after Jones, i think he will be fine and also moving up, he actully said after one of his fights might of been the Jones fight, that he would be struggling to make Super Middleweight if it wasn't for his Nutritionist gruelling him day in day out.
I think Moore will win but it is defintly a pick em fight.
