Default Most boring sports on TV

First let's dispense with the obligatory response from Miles.

"American sports are all boring, depressing, inferior... and should be outlawed."

    Ok... that's that.

Now... what are absolutely the most boring sports on television? I have my own two personal choices: bowling, and poker (??). The question marks after poker are because I have no Earthly idea what the hell a game like poker is doing on TV... much less being pushed as a "sport". I could think of others, such as hot dog eating contests, arm wrestling championships, etc. But I also found this article on the Net. Remarkably, a major sport like baseball was on the list. Admittedly, this is one man's opinion, probably shared by many, but equally rejected by many others. Personally, I don't find baseball all that exciting to watch on TV, and usually refrain from watching any games until the World Series or divisional playoffs. I'd rather watch highlights on SportsCenter. Of course, if there are major records on the line... I'll watch. I'm not a fan of auto racing on TV, either. Particularly NASCAR or anything on oval-shaped tracks.

What other sports do you consider to be the most boring on TV?

Cricket, darts and snooker I don't mind playing them but can't stand watching them on T.V.

Oh yeah... darts. Do they televise that stuff over there? I'd put darts right up (or down) there with bowling, as fun to do but boring as hell to watch on TV.

In terms of general sports Tito has a good idea about me, but I only dislike them because I find them dull, that's all. I think so many sports are really quite boring to watch. It's probably interesting to do some, but to watch others doing them doesn't make much sense to me. I include things like golf, gymnastics, sailing etc. Most of the Olympics is mindnumbingly dull. It only comes to life with things like hockey, tennis, boxing, and track and field. The first hour and a half of a marathon is also really boring.

Some sports that I find really interesting seem to be unpopular to some. I can sit through five days of cricket at a canter. You can watch a delivery, read a paragraph, watch a delivery, put the kettle on between overs etc. You can get an awful lot done through watching a game of cricket.

I think so pretty sure a couple guy's on the forum are into it. They made a thread about it.
