its an article on boxingscene.com, citing a paper called El Nuevo Dia, which says that Gomez will be Cotto's last fight with Evangelista. Could be just a rumor, it quotes an unnamed source, but there were rumors about this after the Quintana fight.

Says that he'll take on a big named American trainer and move his training camp to Florida. From the sound of that boxingscene speculates that its.... Buddy McGirt. Seriously.

Any Puerto Ricans hear anything more about this? Hoping its being blown out proportion honestly.

I heard about it just a while ago but didn't think it was true and no fxcking way he should go with buddy but if its true cotto will move to florida then yes buddy will be the most likely trainer for him. Buddy suckx as a trainer imo. Cotto should not go with him no effing way.

Somebody started this crap once before, and as you can see, he is still with his uncle. And just like last time, it started just before a fight, which makes me think that someone is trying to give a distraction to the Cotto camp, so that they lose focus of the fight.

Didn't work last time, I'm sure it won't work again.

Cotto and his uncle is just like Floyd and his uncle. There are always going to be reports that they're feuding, there are always going to be rumors that they're splitting up, but they'll always turn out to be nothing but just that.... rumors.

Well right now in other news about this rumors , the Mayor of Cottos Family , affirmed ; " The Top Rank Comp. met and contacted to Miguel Cotto with a Trainer that is Evangelista Cotto and going end his career with the same Trainer. We never talked about incorporate to another person in our Team.
We had the formula of success during 31 fights in 16 years of hard work and we don't going change it.......The Cotto Family represented P.R. with all of pride in each fight and we going still continue making like that....
