    Default A few questions

Hi everyone. I've been trolling this forum for awhile now and decided that it was time to actually post something. First off I'd like to say that I think this is by far the best boxing forum out there. All the others that I've visited are plagued by ridiculous flame fests that go on for pages without any real attempt to actually present valid arguments or opinions. People on this forum seem to be much more civilized and objective and I'm looking forward to posting here regularly in the future. Anyway, on to the questions. 1: How good is Luis Collazo? I'm a fan of Ricky Hatton and I'm looking forward to being able to watch him fight on Saturday; especially since I've been stuck with no PPV at college (which means I haven't seen a big fight in awhile). My question is more in regards to if Collazo is going to actually be a game opponent for Hatton or if he's more or less cannon fodder to be used as a step up to bigger fights. I know literally nothing about Collazo so apologize if it seems I'm belittling him. 2: Does anyone know what Amir Khan is doing these days? I saw him fight on the undercard of Williams-Harrison and he was the only reason I didn't call and request my money back after the terrible performance from Fraudly. Granted Khan was fighting someone that looked better suited to a brawl out back of the pub, but I thought he showed a lot of potential and was wondering how his career is coming these days. 3: Lastly, is W.Klitchko going to be fighting over the course of the summer? Obviously if he is waiting for the winner of Brewster-Lyakovich there's no chance of a summer fight but outside of that what's the chance of him fighting this summer? Though I'm not a huge Vlad fan, I do think he's the best HW out there and would like to see him square off against one of the belt holders this summer because as I mentioned before, when I'm here at school I don't have the option of PPV. Thanks in advance for any and all responses to my questions!

Collazo is a decent fighter nothing moe, i think Rick will look awkward trying to find him for first 3/4 rounds, but Hatton is to strong for this guy and will stop him maybe 7/8 rnds.

Kahn will be on the Calzaghe undercard at Cardiff July 8th, not to sure if he is figthing prior to that, and your last point not to sure to be honest.

Thanks for the kind words about the forum we do get the odd dickheads on here but there usually banned pretty sharpish

i really think this is gonna be a tough little fight only because of the fact that Ricky is moving up in weight... fighting away from home and add to that Callazo is a slick southpaw and not too bad by all accounts.

good test at his new weight IMO

i think Amir Khan is also on the undercard of the Magee - Takaloo card

oh and welcome to the forum

Thanks for the responses guys (and gal ). I'm glad to hear that Khan is fighting on the Calzaghe undercard as I planned on getting that one anyway which will give me added incentive to shell out my hard earned cash. I read somewhere though that it might not be broadcasted live in the states? Forget where I read that but I can't see how that could be true with HBO having just signed Calzaghe. Also, glad that the Hatton fight may be a competitive one. As much as I like to see Hatton win, it hard to warrant spending 50 bucks on a fight that might not go past the second round (which was my concern). TheChosenOne: I was thinking Klitchko would most likely wait till the fall to fight again but was hoping someone would tell me that deals were in the works for this summer. You've shattered my dreams for actually seeing a Klitchko fight live Again thanks for all the responses! Oh, and how do I cool click you guys? My computer literacy is pretty bad so if you let me know I'll send one out to each of you.

    heh, Welcome...

Just a note that trolling is when you post bullshit you know will provoke arguments... look up 'froggystyle' for a good example of it... you've been lerking

    Welcome to the site mate.

Im not here that long myself but im constantly logging on during work

I used to look at eastsideboxing but here is alot better though. ESB does have some good articles

I havent seen this guy fight but i hope ricky can get by him cos if he does then roll on the big times.
Although Im not British,Irish infact im a big Ricky hatton fan.

I think most people will admit he seems like a down to earth guy and doesnt show any arrogance at all.

    best of luck ricky
but im still not paying Sky for it
