If I was Owen Beck I'd BOX and not try to out slug the beast.

If Beck can't take Monte Barrett's punches, chances are he can't take Valuev's either...it's in Germany so Valuev is going to get the benefit of the doubt just like he did vs Ruiz and Donald.

How the hell does Owen Beck of all people get a fucking title shot? I guess he's not Ruiz or James Toney or Andrew Golota so it's someone thinking outside the box but in the wrong way.

.....makes me wonder if someone like Briggs, Mesi, or dare I say Holyfield will get shots at the big guy next. I would think Mesi or Briggs could beat him too

Much love to ya if you are doing a RBR, despite all the downers on Valuev, he does hold one of the big four, so I still want to know how it turns out, and whether the big man can complete his first defence.

There's always going to be doubters and people who say he's just there because of his size and overwhelming strength, and that may be true, but it's up to him to put down everyone put in front of him, and there's not much more he can do.

Oh yeah, and a £20 note to the first interviewer who asks him 'How's the weather up there?'

I would have thought that heavyweights would be lining up to take his belt off him. He's big, slow and one dimensional. A quality fighter should have little trouble.

Beck WILL get caught. He aint solved the problem of pulling away with his hands down he can't fix it or he chooses not to, even worse when he pulls away he has his chin in the air, if Valuev doesn't KO him off of that then he has no business being champ!!!!
