Default It's time to go. But he won't

After today it's obvious Vargas should call it a career. He looked really shot. Sadly, I don't think it will happen. Boxing is all Vargas knows. He's still young, age wise. What happens next is I think Vargas convinces himself that he shouldn't of fought at 154. I think in his head he will convince himself that he can do better at 160. And of course he will be wrong.

Castielljo just won a Middleweight title, Vargas could move up and beat him again and become a 2 division champ then he can retire on a higher note.

He was a brave fighter with a great deal of heart starting out as a fine boxer and let a few KO's go to his head and the macho trip hurt him. I think that he gave it his all and he should stay out of harm's way and not fight anymore. He should really pay attention to his fight films so that he could not only see where he went wrong but that it's over. I thought he was going to work on his boxing skill but he began to believe his own press clippings and he was too macho in the ring for his own good.

He has horrible back problems , Therefore he can’t get leverage on his shots anymore, and he don’t punch thru his target because he is so stiff . .. You can’t compete on that level with a ruptured disks and all , no way, he need to retire before he gets seriously hurt.

His back problems began way way before he fought Trinidad Least from what I heard its from getting hit in the back with a abseball bat when he was almost put in jail when he was younger but don't quote me on that, he just finally had the work on it after that fight against the guy in the do-rag before he fought the guy with the golden hair thats when it was known, but he had already had back issues for years before that.

I hear yeah ! Time is your enemy in the back pain world ! Vargas looked like an erect penis in there, he have no movement , and no follow thru, he is done, what ever problems he has with that back just got worse and won't get better, boxing is a sport that utilizes full range on motion, if you aint got it, you giving up way too much.

Tough call, he looked shot post Trinidad and DLH, but came back fairly well. Maybe that was a dead mans bounce?

Never like to see a fighter carry on for too long, but it is his shout...
