Aaron Snowell is perhaps the worst trainer EVER!

Mike didn't want to run? Well fuck it Mike, I wouldn't train him if he didn't want to work at his craft anymore!

Me and my partner at the Gym Vince had a conversation about this before...It seems everyone who trained Tyson after Rooney tried to change Mike...Mikes was most devestating with the style cus taught him....and of course Kevin continued the same training seeing how he was a student of Cus. Tyson himself is very knowledgeable of the sport he can even be considered a historian he knows that much about the history of the game....IMO the key to training Mike..or at least how I would have done it is talk to Mike and ask him how they did things in the gym with cus...Get him to tell you the workouts and way they trained then like a theif use it!!!!...WTF it worked Tyson was awsome when he was with those guys why change a recipe that works?? Just gym talk of course but it seemed like a valid idea no?

Well I do think that eventually Tyson would have to change his style to suit his change his lack of power.

Roger or Floyd Mayweather Sr. would have done well with Mike Tyson in defense and more effective offense for an aging fighter

Youtube has some good stuff on Tyson...You could tell he was at a point where he didn't care or want to fight anymore

that why Buster beat him so badly.

Don King keeping Tyson inactive was a huge thing too. And Tyson used to fight 3 times every 2 or 3 months, when he signed with Don it was once every 8 or so months.. big difference

Another factor in itself was that Cus was no longer on the planet...something like that...well shat like that changes a man forever.

Cus pretty much made took Mike from a hoodlum & turned him into a man. A real man...when Cus was gone was when Mike went to the pot in all areas...not just the game.

The reason Tyson did those things is because his trainers after Cus passed away let him and if they tried to stop him he'd fire them (see Rooney).

In all honesty Mike Tyson should have retired before getting beaten

    Wacko
    another great point...( )
While under the wing and roof of cus, he was growing from a punk kid, into a man with values, and respect. Cus broke mike down, showed mike that just because he was a tough kid, didnt mean a turd in the ring. Cus showed him, that anyone he had in the gym could punk him off (IN THE RING). And it humbled tyson, tyson for the first time, had a father figure who put the hurtin on him, and brought him down to earth. Tyson loved him like afather, and cus took care of him. When cus died, tyson was back to the punk kid before cus entered his life. No respect. He had trainers who he didnt care for, and didnt care for him. He was lost.
Anyone thank thinks different, i ask you one question.
If cus never died, do you think that tyson would of ever got infront of the media, Grab his C{}ck and scream to the reporters? Call them the racist names he did?
    I DONT THINK SO.
He lost his dad, the only guy who took the time to understand him. They only guy he trusted. and he never recovered. ever.

back & very well said. Good expasion on the point I was trying to make.

In answer to your question..."If cus never died, do you think that tyson would of ever got infront of the media, Grab his C{}ck and scream to the reporters? Call them the racist names he did?"

No. Cus was def a buffer for what Tyson gave in to in the end...the devil.

I don't mean that in a crazy religious fanatical way when I say the devil either.

That shat takes many forms...there were many things that were Tyson's devil. Money, women, cars, & even tigers...but most of all...Don "muthafwockin" King was Tyson's devil...with a capitol D!

Come to think about it...King has been many devil's to boxing...he went from pimpin whores to pimpin boxers...that's a jump in my book.
