    Default Abs Workouts

What are some good ab workouts to do for boxing and training to help tone and strengthen? I heard Floyd Mayweather does 200 or 400 situps a day, i forget which one it is. Im wondering how many sets and reps of some good ab workouts. Thanks for the help everyone.

get ab straps. it's the best abs/arms/hip flexor exercise ever invented. I used to do them religiously until I finally wore them out. Then I just never bought new ones, but mostly because I was married and in grad school again so time and motivation were limited.

Don't do reps, I do them timed. do loads of sets, loads of exercises. around 15 in a session.

I don't use a bar or anything, and keep my feet together and flat on the floor, so I work my abs as much as possible... if you use a bar or don't keep your feet flat you're using your legs and hips as well rather than targeting the abdominals.

Takes a few months to build to that though.

I have my fighters doing 3 3 minute rounds of sit ups...all on a situp bench...1st round regular situp/crunches...2nd round twisting at the torso all the way down and all the way up around 3-4 times per side...3rd round I have them take a 12lb medicine ball and as they go down I have them extend their arms all the way out and go down till the ball touches the ground..then they bring it to their chest and sit up with the 12lb medicine ball.....we used to have contests...ave was 80-90 1st rd..50-60 for 2nd round and 40-50 for the 3rd round....**Warning** you will have to buid up to this over a few months If you are not well trained...You could risk injury on that final round if not ready... try this and good luck...tell me how it works for you....
It feels good to be back home.

You can do frog kicks, leg raises, weighted crunches, sit ups, upside down sit ups with weights. And there is not such thing as reps do 3 sets of failure
