Brock is a good guy but he is lacking in a lot of areas when you compare him to the top tier guys.
Wlad will blast him out it's not even a question but Brock will show his heart but he'll also show a lack of boxing ability, power, and a questionable chin. Best of luck to Calvin but he's in for a MAJOR LEAGUE ass whuppin
Brock is getting KTFO!!!!!!!!!! end of story....next?Originally Posted by TheDukeof74

Brock is decent and Wlad has had bad days against the less than decent....Dont be so quick to write off Brock. Peter has no skills, and he managed to put Wlad down 3 times. He wont knock Toney down 3 times.
Brock has as good a chance as anyone out there now....might not manage it, but he deserves his shot...
Wont quit without a fight....
He put Wlad down 3 times....only ONCE did he do it with a legal punch!
Brock is good but he's not going to beat Wlad, if Lawrence can outbox him and McCline can put him down Wlad will be able to put him out.
Brock won't quit but part of me wonders if that will be good to do if he's getting his ass handed to him
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh but that one time...Originally Posted by Lyle

I am a good Coach when it comes to working with Heavies, I love Wlad and Vitali, they have style and great experience when it somes to the Ring....
BUT, I see something in Brock, I see a spark we havent seen in American fighters for a long, long time....
I am not saying he's going to tear Wlad's ass up, but, I will say...Dont count your chickens before they hatch...
I look at the beginnings of Brock....When noone would take a chance, his father did...AND HE DIDNT KNOW SHIT ABOUT BOXING!!!
What Brock's Father did was purchase some Videos from Ringside products and learned what he could from them...
from there, Calvin did win alot of Amateur Titles and even fought in the Olympics...So he has some talent there somewhere...
Now, look where the man is...Calvin has the fire, the spirit and the "I WANT TO WIN!!" attitude I havent seen in a fighter in a long time....
I like his style, I believe he has a strong future in the sport...
I am going to watch him over the next month and see if there is anything there to say he can achieve what most of you say he doesnt have a chance in hell of doing.....
Good Luck,
I understand what you are saying here, but, remember who came out of those fights with the wins....Originally Posted by Lyle
The way I see it, Lawrence didnt outbox shit, he got KTFO in the sixth, so end of story on that.....And if McCline couldnt do his job by keeping the man down after he knocked him down, I wouldnt brag about knocking him down in the first place....
So we need better exscuses than these when looking at Brock...
I personally know two of the guys he fought and I know how tought Terry Smith is, he may not be the smoothest cat out there, but the boy can fight. I also know Jim Strohl...As a matter of fact, he isnt even fighting HW anymore, I believe he dropped some major punds here recently for a fight in Cali. and I know when he was HW, he hit hard as a bull...
So I look at this way, with the upsets and embarassments we have seen in Boxing recently, do you really want to count Brock out
Good Luck,
Coach
Lawrence was making Brock look bad OR Brock just looked bad...that left hook was set up more by Zuri's lack of experience I mean the guy said "How'd I do?" and I believe he also forgot his mouthpiece in his corner between rounds...and he took Brock into the 6th round. (Zuri has 30 wins and ZERO KO's I mean for the love of Christ who can do that?!?!?)
Calvin came out with the win vs 2 HORRID opponents 1 of whom Wlad crushed into the canvas over 10 rounds.
Wlad has been beat by 2 guys who could withstand his power and 1 guy who had huge power and was a southpaw....I see no such trouble for Wlad in a fight with Brock.
It's all well and good for Brock to have the do or die attitude but when it comes to this fight he can wish in one hand and shit in the other and see which one gets filled first!
Wlad will destroy any heavy with ease including brock.
I think a lot of people are forgetting all the wins & all the devastating performances by Wlad in the past & just latching on to his 3 losses outta 44+ fights.
Wlad is a hell of a puncher & a much better boxer than Brock. I think that a lot of people are forgetting that also...that & the fact that he's got a much better jab & longer reach than Brock.
81 inches vs 77 might not seem like a stretch...but couple that with Wlad's height advantage & the fact that he made short work of a much more superior boxer in Byrd...yeah...it's time to count Brock out.
As much as I hate to say that...this is just the wrong fight for Brock right now.
Never beg a 40 dollar hooker...specially after she's just turned down your mom's credit card!!
Too true...Calvin is a good guy but Wlad is too big, too strong, and too experienced.
Let's just hope the Boxing Banker has saved some money for a rainy day, Because he is about to cash a check his a** can't cash.
