whats sad is that people will pay a single dime to watch a convicted rapist.

call Mike what you will,
Yes he's done some wrong in his life. No one can question that. He has fought demons (and still does) we all have em, just some worst than others.
I dont forgive mike tyson for what he has done in the past. But i deffinately will never forget what he has done. He changed the face of boxing, forever. In his prime He came into the HWD, and scared the living hell out of whoever was in the opposite corner from him. Before boxing he had no discipline, no goal, no respect, Then Cus came into his life, shaped him to be a man, and right before cus would of been finished, he left mike. All alone, with no guidence, back to being a boy, with no father. Mike lost it.
But anyone who watched mike, anyone who saw a 19 year old kid, scare the life out of 30 year old men, they have to respect that man. You cant just be in Awe of a person like that when hes Performing like no other. You have to be able to try and cope with what he has turned into. To use a person like that, is worst than any crime or act that mike has commited himself.

Im a huge Tyson fan, but the truth is that he has no money because of some terribly foolish decisions. Does B Hop have these kinds of financial issues? No, of course not.
We can all say "poor Mike Tyson", yes, he is poor...but he doesnt need a whole lot of pity...
He still drives a BMW, the man is surviving better than most...less of the poor Mike schtick please...![]()
"oh poor mike tyson"....I take it none of you have ever been raped or have a close friend of family member that has....if you had you wouldn't waste a single breath of air on the guy.

Well, whether you believe prison is for punishment or rehabilitation, the fact remains that the guy served his time and 'the slate is clean'.... surely?Originally Posted by VanChilds

Like him or loathe him - Mike Tyson is still receiving more coverage, articles and threads than any current heavyweight in the world.
It tells us 2 things really:
1) The impact Mike had on the division; 2) The current status of the division.
Personally I think rapists should get life sentences......and I'm sure if you ask any rape victim the slate is never clean for them. It is a scar they will carry for them the rest of their lives.Originally Posted by X

I don't think Tyson needs pity, but I don't think people should judge him as harshly as they do. I think what happened to Tyson was a result of the corruption around him and b/c he never had anyone to teach him when he was a child he never knew how to handle certain situations and who to trust.
I never thought of it like that, after all he was only18 when he was knocking out big, massive 30 year old men. When he was 20+ he was considered the toughest/baddest man on the planet. no one dared argue about that either!Big Deuce-- But anyone who watched mike, anyone who saw a 19 year old kid, scare the life out of 30 year old men, they have to respect that man.
