Default Mayweather-"If I Retired Today, I'd Go Down as the Best Ever."

Floyd was just on Sportscenter and had a heated exchange with Brian Kenny, telling him he doesn't know anything about boxing after Kenny grilled him on why he chose to fight Judah over Baldomir. He then went on to say Hatton outpriced himself, Oscar and Mosley wanted to take vacations, and that it's no question that he'll beat Baldomir. He capped it off by saying just what the title says, saying he respects Ali and Robinson but they can't see him.

Yeah!! I just saw that too and did a thread on it, we must have put it up at the same time

Brian Kenny from ESPN was interviewing PBF they were talking shet as usual when out of no where PBF said the following.

I'm the GREATEST boxer that ever lived, I respect what Muhamad Ali did and all that but I'm PBF, I'm the greatest.

WHAT THE FWOCK IS WRONG WITH HIM? THEY NEED TO RUN SOME DRUG TESTS ON HIM.

How is he greater the SRR, Ali, Louis, Duran. Hes fwocken lost his mind.

WHATEVER!!!! he wishes, most of the people that dont keep up with boxing dont even know who he is. What he really needs is to fight a top fighter that puts him on his place.
he is just starting, he hasn't being tested. Sh1t Castillo laid da smack down on his a$$.
he needs to be quiet because its going to be embarrasing when somebody beats him.

Yes he is a great boxer but he hasnt fought everyone yet. Ali fought the most dangerous fighters in the era. Foreman and frazier, shavers.
robinson fought everyone too,200 plus fights.

    sugar leonard never ducked anyone.
James Toney Is greater than him. once pound for pound greatest. The rings fighter of the year about 2/3 times. WHICH IS AN ACHIEVEMENT.

He is such a puff to say he is the greatest. i want baldomir to streamroll this guy. How dare he say that. he hasnt even fought the guys we want him to fight. so far he has fought everyone he knows he could beat including zab!

    wht an arsehole!

Don't recall James Toney winning Ring Fighter of the Year 2 or 3 times. To my knowledge, he won it once, as did Floyd. And I certainly don't recall a single day where Toney was the #1 P4P fighter in the world.

Floyd COULD go down as the best ever if he fights more often and totally dominates the following: Mosley, De la Hoya, Margarito, Baldomir, Hatton, Cotto, Wright, and perhaps tries his hand at 160....he's 5'8 he MIGHT be able to carry his speed up there but he won't KO anyone that's for sure and out pointing Jermain Taylor is hard for ANYONE

are you seriously putting margaritos name up there with those other great fighters? (at least baldomir is champ)

    wow!
arums got you ALL caught up in the hype

i dont think its necessary for pbf to beat margarito to be considered an all time great

or is daniel santos an all time great for beating a "prime" margarito like 5 fights ago?

He thinks he would go down as the best ever. With his resume now? He's full of shit and he knows it. Start fighting some real champs pal. You have the potential and from here on out you better use it on not quality opponents, but big name champs. That's the bottom line. You retire now and you go down as a "what could he have done." As of now, we don't know, because you're still fighting people you should have given up on 10 fights ago. Fight Mosley and Oscar then we gotta consider you. It sucks, but you're that much better than everyone else. Try for the real stars... even they are at the end of their careers.

do hatton, delahoya, and mosely count as "real stars?"
because those are 3 people he tried making fights happen with and it was THEM who didnt want any part of it.
so i guess he took "the east way out." and challenged the linear welterweight champion of the world in carlos baldomir
so if baldomir is not the real welterweight champion, then who is?

Basically......if PBF retired 'today' then he would be remembered as a waste of talent.
