It did take place actually, just not officially. Apparently Mike used to give Tyson all kinds of trouble in sparring, and they feuded mentally almost every day.

I think it did - the reason why we are not agreeing that Tyson was simply one of the the best heavyweights who ever lived is because this fight was going on, constantly, for about the last 20 years?

Sad thing is, I think it is still going on, but it's degenerated into a tired slugging match that will eventually destro them both??

I once, early on thought that Tyson was the best I had ever seen until I saw that Tyson the up and comer was also shaping to be the real deal. Tyson had that crouching cannon. But Tyson was very quick. I hear neither wore socks with there shoes... Very similar fighters but I think Tyson would take it eventually...
