Okay everyone...there aint much happening this weekend...so I figured I'd do a little work in prep for the Corrales Casamayor rubber match that is on line for the next big fight that's coming up on Showtime next Saturday night.

It's free I might add...& there aint nothing better than a free fight...especially one as compelling as this one could be.

Plus...I'm down with having that extra cash to drop on liquor. Heh heh heh.

I know it's early...but this & the Abraham Miranda fights are on my rehash list for the weekend...I gotta get something done...c'mon bitches...humor me.


That being said...let's skip my run of the mill Factors of the fight & take a step back in time with a rehash of the first two encounters. They were exciting & explosive. Some thing Corrales lost the second fight...some people don't. You be the judge.

Corrales vs Casamayor I Round 1: Corrales comes out jabbing. Left hook by Casamayor. Corrales fires back. Casamayor using the ring. Clench. Corrales right hook on the inside. Casamayor takes it well. Still moving. Right & then two lefts by Corrales. Casa to the body. Left hand then a right hook by Corrales. Casa counters with a left hok. Left hook lands for Corrales. RIght hand for Corrales. Counter by Casamayor. Nice. Casa moving & nails with a jab. Corrales swinging for the fences. Right hand by Casa on the inside. Nice work.

Corrales vs Casamayor I Round 2: Corrales is already cut on a butt. Corrales comes out jabbing. Casa holding & hitting. Both men jabbing. Left hook from Corrales. Right hand to follow. Corrales goes low. Casa counters with an upper. Casa moving constatndly. Body shots by Cas. Corrales clearly getting outboxed. Left hand by Casa. Right hand by Casa followed by a left hook. Caamayor moving & confusing & Corrales just looking for the one punch. Corrales jabbing. Casa nails him with a hook. Right hand by Corrales, left counter by Casa. Body shot by Corrales. Casa counters. Corrales swings wild to the bell.

Corrales vs Casamayor I Round 3: Left hook by Corrales to start the round. Casa moving. Exchange & a big left hook from Casa drops Corrales. Another one snaps him. Casa comes in hard. Holding the head & hitting for hte thrid time. Loses a point. Casa comes in hard trying to right the wrong. Vicious exchange. Corrales still fighting stupid. Casa cracks him with the left again. Corrales has his witts back. Seemingly. Corrales squaring up. Wide open. Right hand by Casa. Corrales now catches Casa with a combo. Hook lands for Corrales. Another left hook from Casa. Clench. Casa now being very cautious. Right hand from Corrales. Left hand from Casa. Still squaring up.

Corrales vs Casamayor I Round 4: Casa comes out moving & jabbing. Big left hand straight down the pipe drops Corrales again. Damn. Casa comes out hard to close the show. Nailing Corrales with a left hand. 1-2 from Casa. Corrales nails Casa with a left & down he goes after a vicious exchange. Corrales cracks him again. Casa moving now & clearly hurt. Clench. Jab from Corrales. 1-2 from Casa. Right hand from Corrales. Left hook from Corrales. Left hook from Casa. Casa trying to avoid contact. Body shot by Corrales. Left hook from Corrales. Another one. Casamayor back pedaling now. Right hand & then a left from Corrales. Casa counters with a left of his own. Trading to the bell.

Corrales vs Casamayor I Round 6: Good fight. Forgot about how this one went off. Bell! Casamayor has a huge welt over his right eye. Casa comes out jabbing. Body shot by Casa. RIght hand from Casa. Corrales eats the jab top & bottom. Corrales jabbing. Left hook by Casa. Nice. Body shot by Casa. Constantly moving. COrrales can't connect. Corrales jabs. Right hand by Casa. Corrales's mouf swelling. Straight left hand from Casa. Right hand & then a left from Casa. Vicious shots. Hard left hand from Casa. Hard exchange. Corrales hammers Casa with a left that stuns him. Right & then a left from Casa. Corrales is bleeding pretty badly after that exchange.

Round to Casamayor...but that S*** was close.

Doctor stops the fight...mouthpiece punctured Corrales's mouf.

It's over. Corrales is up-fwockin-set!!!

Now...here's me opinion of the first fight...Corrales was losing that fight...no doubt...but...he was coming on at the end & might have TKO'd Casamayor...but he might not have...it's as simple as that...so...let's get down to the rematch:

Corrales vs Casamayor II Round 1: Corrales jabbing to the start. Casa moving & boxing just like in the first fight. Jab landing for Casa. Corrales seems sharper right now. RIght hand for Casa. Left for Corrales. Casa lands a counter left. 1-2 from Casa. Wide open again to Casa's left hand. Corrales content to jab. Right followed by a left from Casa. Corrales jabbing again. Right hand from Corrales. Left & a right from Casa. Right hand again from Corrales. Body shot from Casa. Casa moving & throwing just like last fight. Pretty even round.

Corrales vs Casamayor II Round 2: Corrales comes out with the jab. Casa moving out. Corrales just backing Casa up with the jab. Body shot by Corrales & then one up top. RIght hand by Casa. Jab by Casa. Body shot by COrrales & then a trade up on the work from Casa. Casa then warned for holding & hitting. Left hand from Corrales. They trade & clench. Corrales misses with the jab. Seems to be fading. Casa coming on. Casa moving & jabbing. Down goes Corrales from a left hand. Casa comes out now trying to get it done. Another left lands flush. Body shot by Casa. Corrales hammers him again with a left hand. Elbow from Casa. Two straifght rights from Casa. Corrales eats another shot flush & he is SHAKEN!!! Right hand from Corrales. Corrales jabbing again.

Corrales vs Casamayor II Round 11: Out they come. Corrales jabbing again. Casa to the body. Back hand lands for Casa. Casa jabs to the body. Casa pushes Corrales through the ropes. COrrales to the body. Right hand from Corrales. Casa jabbing now. Casa slips. 1-2 from Corrales. Big right hand from Corrales shakes Casa. He almost went down. 1-2 from Corrales. Casa fires back. Right hand from Corrales. Left hand from Casa. Damn!!!. Right from Casa, left from Corrales. Casa jabbing. Corrales swings wild. Both men trade & there's a butt & Corrales feels it out & Casa almost clocks him. Nice combo from Corrales.

Right hand from Casa. Jab from Corrales. 1-2 from Casa. Left hand on the button from Casa. Another one from Casa. Corrales has either faded or the butts have fwocked him. Heh heh heh. Corrales jabs. Nice combo by Corrales. Casamayor backing out now. Jab from Corrales. Right hand from Casa. Jab exchange from both men. BOth men throw...to no effect. At 10 seconds...they both hold up their hands.

Split decision win for Corrales.

That all being said...October the 7th...the rubber match...& yes...just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds. Should be a goody.

I'm branching out Saturday night.

Grilling out steaks for the first part of the night & then working on the Wacko Boxing Theatre after dinner. That shit's coming together fast. Got the lights hooked up & running & getting ready to wire up the surround sound & projector for the maximum experience. After that...I'm building the bar & then it's done.

Probably be done about 10ish & then plan on doing a RBR of the Abraham Miranda debacle...if I can ever get a legit download that pushes an optimum picture.

I saw Casamayor in his last fight... he looked preeeety bad
Even, in studio pundit Corrales was promted to comment on his display... Which leads me to believe why this fight is even taking place.

Corrales must obviously feel that Casa is faded.... And i agree. I think that skill wont prevail next saturday however i doubt that the fireworks will rain down to heavilly.

I expect a fight full of messy exchanges, off-timing and complaing (due to the occasional headbutts, elbows, holding etc).

UD Corrales (SD at worst, mabe with a point deduction or two).

It will be a violent demise. For Corrales. Granted Casamayor has not looked great in his last fights, but Casamayor has always been a fighter who fights at his opponents level. He'll be at his best for Diego. Question is, will Corrales be at his best? By the time fight night comes, it will be one year since his last fight. A fight in which he was dominated before being brutally knocked out. His fight before, was the type of war in which fighters lose themselves and are never the same. Casamayor while declining, is nowhere near as shot as Corrales

I've been picking Casamayor for a couple weeks now so I'll stick with him.

Lot of unknowns in this fight. Has Casamayor lost as much as he appeared to fighting that Pearson guy or was it a combination of fighting down to a guys level and fighting a guy that moved and didn't really open up much leaving Casamayor not much in the way of counters? And is Chico anything close to his former self?

I'll go Casamayor by decision with a knockdown, maybe two.

Getting really excited about this one now! I really like both fighters and I think both are being under estimated,I think maybe Joel has lost SOME skill but is still a great fighter and the rest Corrales had should have done him good. Cas won the first but Corrales may have KTFO Joel IF the 7th went ahead and the second was toooooo tight but I had Corrales by1 and on second and third viewing,a draw twice.

I favour Corrales for this,because Cas is maybe not as sharp as he was,and to beat Diego,you need to be at the top of your game. Corrales,in agreat fight,by...ummmm......I'll go out on a limb,KO11
