Default Mundine v Lacy for WBA strap!!

no it hasn't been announced but with Kessler upgraded to Super Champion and both Mundine no.2 and Lacy no.3 fighting once more this year it stands to reason. It would make for a good fight if Choc stood and traded but I'd say he will be on his bike for that one.

On the undercard of Calzaghe v Kessler would be the perfect lead up to a rematch or intriguing matchup which ever way you look at it.

Mediocre fighter (Mundine) against an overfighter (Lacy). As much as I dislike mediocre, he does does hold a win over Antwuan Echols. Who's better than anybody overrated has faught, so I guess mediocre wins.

I like Mundine. When you consider he began as an Aussie Rules star his counter punching awkward style is highly impressive.

He doesn't have enough of a punch to hurt Lacy but he certainly has the skills to tie him up and frustrate him.

He gave Danny Green a boxing lesson for 12 rounds, I think I scored maybe 2 rounds for Green that entire fight.

He also gave a spirited showing against Mikkel Kessler.

His only real blot was being sparked by Sven Ottke but I feel he's come a long way since then.

Not a good matchup for Jeff this one I don't think.

I pretty much can't stand Mundine.

He's a turd of a human & a fairly dirty fighter...that being said...I think that he's got all the tools to give Lacy a damned hard fight.

Not sure that he could stand up to the power of Lacy though.

If Jeff would iron out his defense issues...I think that he'd be a damned impossible fighter to beat.

Honestly...I'm gonna have to lean towards Mundine pulling out a split decision over Jeff...either that...or the exact opposite (providing that Jeff is back to being Jeff now) & being a moron trying to trade with Lacy & getting blown out.

    Mundine by SD.

I gotta say I know even the Aussies hate Mundine but what I've seen of him I really like the guy.

Not a being a fan of Danny Green seeing as he threatened to sue me for putting his fights with Beyer on eBay made me see Mundine as some kind of warrior for justice. Oh how I smiled when he gave Green a beat down!

Since then I've really liked the guy.

I've only seen two of his fights, Green and Kessler but he wasn't dirty at all in either of them as I recall.

Mundine is outspoken, nothing wrong with that. I think he just goes a little overboard sometimes.

I dont see him as dirty. I see him as a poor mans Roy Jones Jr

Poor mans Roy Jones? Maybe Roy Jones the rapper. Or Roy Jones the basketball player. But Roy Jones the boxer, he's far. And I mean far from that. Damn you Mods. Some of the things you guys post boarders on straight stupidity.

i think lacy would blast him out. and he would be determined to show a good performance as he would be coming off the calzaghe loss. but then again that added pressure might work against him.
