Baldomir took huge shots from Gatti and Judah was very unfocused and barely lost to Baldy. Baldy will wanna trade with Floyd and he thinks that he will be able to, but Floyd won't allow it. Floyd will jab to the stomach all night, jab to the face, and use right hand leads ALL NIGHT!!! It's easy work IMO. Don't forget, Floyd is taller than Baldy, and has a three inch reach advantage. Which means Baldomir will have to walk through a ton of jabs and crosses to get to Floyd. Baldomir won't corner Floyd because Floyd will clinch when he gets backed up and feels too much heat, then move back to the center of the ring and take points at will. People forget that Floyd's defense against the ropes is very, very impressive. Baldomir can't box Floyd in the middle of the ring and that's exactly where Floyd will keep the entire fight the whole night. Baldy doesn't have the power to knock Floyd out, people look at the Judah and Gatti fights. Well, Judah's chin has always been suspect and he just lost his equilibrium, he wasn't in danger of getting knocked out. Gatti, got hit with so many HUGE shots that the punishment took a toll on him. Baldy is a great warrior and an inspiration because of what he has accomplished this year but the buck stops here. What we have all fallen victim to is the Floyd's camp own marketing scheme. When they promoted the Gatti fight, some people said that Floyd has never felt Gatti's power just like they are saying about Baldomir, but a lot of us knew Gatti was in for a long night (or as short night as it turned out). The problem with Floyd's promotion of the Gatti fight was that he vocalized this fact, he told everyone that Gatti was a club fighter and that Gatti would be punished all night, he totally went against what his promoters were saying all said that Gatti was not on his level. What happened? He punished Gatti but everyone afterwards was like "Well, he only beat Gatti. Plus, if he knew Gatti wasn't on his level, then why did he fight him?" People basically threw his destruction of Gatti out the window and dismissed the win like it was nothing. Well Floyd isn't saying the same thing this time. This time, he's going along with everything his promoters are saying and agreeing, saying that Baldomir is a "big, tough, strong guy" and the "real welterweight champion of the world" because he's realizing that he has to build these fights up and say the right things so that people like Brian Kenny and the media can't come back and say "well, you say this three months ago..." and that his wins do mean something. If you look at this fight this fight parallels the Gatti fight in every way. Everyone said that Floyd was too small for 140 and Gatti was too powerful at 140. Everyone is saying that Floyd is too small for 147 and Baldy is too powerful at 147. It's the same ole, same ole. Baldy is a natural welterweight but he is slow, doesn't have particularly great hand speed (he has good handspeed though), and he is flat footed. Remember Floyd might not KO Baldy, but you can only take so much punishment. Floyd is gonna tear Baldy's ass out the frame except this time he'll be recognized as the true champion at 147 after his win unlike at 140 when he beat Gatti. With this being said, I'm still getting the PPV because it should still be a good fight to watch even though Floyd will smoke this guy.
