as you get more comfortable with sparring and your style you'll gain the confidence you need to stay calm and think about how you are boxing, your nerves and confidence will grow and get better but until then just keep it simple, try to think while you box, always just keep your gaurd up move your head,
make sure you commit to your punches ( make sure your actually trying to hit them) lol
dont just trow your arms out lean in with a punch... and when they start throwing combinations just remember to keep your guard up and try to move away and start to throw the jab again.. dont just wait for the barrage to end then pick up on what you want to do find a way out!

i used to be pretty fumbly with nerves and loose sight of gameplan etc and just go for it and get hit alot in the process which isnt very smart, which is why its best to keep calm and pick your shots..
i recently stepped up in competition as in im sparring with a different set of people bigger lads, better boxers etc, they really make me work and i found myself swinging wild shots and tiring myself out before the end and having to just go on defense because i had tired my self out. lol
that'll teach me to keep it cool and pick shots its always much better to do so..
if you go out and try and fight at a pace your not comfortable with not only will it tire you out but your opponent can pick you off, you should try and fight someone at your own pace and make them fight at your pace work on your defence and make sure you landing cleaner more effective punches and take it at your pace..lol
