Pbf was just on sports center promoting his ppv bout with baldomir. Now I know pbf is cocky, but I never paid much antention to him just because I'm not a fan of his. The commentator asked him to name the 3 all time pound for pound fighters and he put himself at the number one spot ahead of sugar ray robinson, wtf, I mean I knew he was cocky but dam, srr had like 200+ wins or some insane number or something...God he's got skills and talent, I just wish he was a bit more humble about it, oh heck ali was just as cocky...but dam he proved it in the end, somehow pbf hasn't done it for me yet.

true...but if you are a fighter worth anything, you have to think you're the best in order to become the best.....when Ali said he was the greatest it was only after the Liston fight...and I think a prime Ali would have wupped the younger one with the big mouth....

IMO, if you wan't to differentiate between best and greatest, Floyd very well could be at the top. Achievements are one thing, I don't know many fighters who had the same blend of talent and skills that FLoyd does, and anyone who comes close is not named Sugar Ray Robinson. He was the greatest p4p fighter of all time but simply not the best imo.. Im not just spewing this either I have watched many of Robinsons fights now, and it just wasn't the same league as as MAyweather, Whittaker, Jones, Ricardo Lopez, etc.. They were all better.

Yeah difference between best and greatest. Robinsons fundamental style was great for his time but for right now styles have evolved. Mayweather may be better in terms of what his style brings and the speed and power with it. But that in no way means he is greater then Robinson. Just better in terms of his advantages with time, and boxing for over 50 years ago I would expect its possible to be better then a fighter was 50 years ago as the sport has advanced. Doesn't make him "greater" though.

Jeah well I think he just thinks he's both the best and greatest, and jeah there was an order to it because he said ali third srr second myself first. Like I said he's extremely talented and skilled but he's just to dam cocky for me. Also he claimed that when people think boxing they think floyd and not odlh, well the host brought up odhl's ppv numbers and floyd just kinda tried changing topics,lol.
