I only knew of fragments of information in this video. I thought it was about taxes only but I watched the entire film in one sitting my eyes hurt but it was well worth my time.

What we have is not Facism...people are JUST AS free to talk shit about the government as they were 50; 100; and even 200 years ago!

People just have stuck to what we can't do....it's not just the Republicans that keep you from doing things, IN FACT more Democrats want to control what you do than anyone else.

I have just as many rights and freedoms as I had in the 80's, the early 90's and the mid to late 90's....I'm just tired of people bashing government, yes the people that run it are idiots but WE ELECT THEM...so I honestly am tired of the jackasses on either side who are either "The government is doing too much, I'm not free anymore, free Tibet and save the whales!" or "America needs to kill anyone who disagrees with us".

Sorry if I come across mean sometimes, honestly

I just get a bit miffed at people who think they are being oppressed by the government when honestly there are people out there in other countries that ARE being oppressed by their governments and there are also people out there who's government won't protect them.

I feel very blessed to live where I do the thing that pisses me off about politics is that Republicans and Democrats act like they are 100% against each other when in actuality they should be working together for the welfare of the average American citizen.


But sorry, I do get a bit "rant-y" at times when it comes to stuff like this








....fyi #1 the IRS was originally made to catch people breaking Prohibition Laws and #2 I'm for the consumption tax which would basically dissolve the IRS

I respect your opinion. I feel that your not looking at the big picture though. Dems and repubs have the same agenda. The only thing government can do is take freedoms, they can't give them. We are created and given rights by the creator. Our country was founded as a constitutional republic, not a democrocy. We are far away from being what the founders intended. If you really think you are free try not paying your taxes. Armed men will come and remove everything you own from you, and throw you in jail.

I don't support what the government spends money on, in many circumstances I would never give a penny to some of the things that are mandated. I don't pay taxes for any reason other than fear. Our established 2 party government is simply a giant leach that makes sure there is a huge gap between the have's and the have not's.... Guess who is consistently in office?? Rich kids that grew up with silver spoons in their mouth's. Our gov. is not of the people for the people. These people in the majority of offices are not normal people, they don't reflect the majority of america. They operate a business which we are all captive customers in... Government. I am supposed to be free, but only if I pay the required fee for any activity that I want to participate in..
start a business.... I need a license, which is a tax or fee I pay to get it.
drive... license, pay fee take test
marriage.... license pay fee
build house... permit, pay fee make sure it's suitable to government
buy house... property tax...even if you pay for your house in cash you don't pay annual taxes and they will confiscate it and sell it.
invest money.... taxed at higher rate for capital gains
sell house.... capital gains tax
get job.... income tax at approximately 30%
business makes money.... pay taxes + self employment tax and you have to spend hours and hours trying to figure out how to do the paperwork properly or you have to hire someone to properly submit the paperwork to the government.

The point I am making is.... this so called freedom is really conditional freedom. You are free as long as you comply with these thousands of rules we have. (Not counting common law things like stealing and murder etc. those are required) Are we really free? Does all this collection of taxes go to bettering our country and the way of life for the common citizen? Or, does it go to making sure the people in office stay in office and live luxerious lifestyles? Do the politicians stay in office by using their own salaries to pay for their campaigns? Or do they get support from businesses that they in turn make favorable "laws" to promote their well being? When they leave office they then work for one of these businesses and continue to promote those businesses. It is so corrupt I can't believe anyone can support any canidate. They are all scoundrels. Dems and repubs alike. These theives are busy passing approximately 2000 "laws" a year every year in this country, all to make us more free?

We truly have the fox watching over the chicken coup.

The government has the right to tax it's citizens, how else could it fund and army and pay for schools

I see what you're saying about Income Taxes, it's sheisty, it's not really established in any written legal form but it's up to the voter to undo that....read about the fair tax, more and more politicians are getting behind it

Democrats and Republicans both want power, they care very little about accomplishing anything positive...new people must move forward and take over the government

I don't think that the federal government should be involved in schools at all. Each state is responsible for that on their own, and I personally don't support public schools. That would be a different topic, but I believe that most of the 14years in public school is wasted teaching things that don't matter. Again it's a completely different topic so I will leave it alone.

The military is what the Federal government should be involved in. The taxes can come from many other ways than income tax. We are taxed on everything we do anyway. Buy, sell, invest, live, eat, gas, you name it. There is a tax on it. If you look at the percentage of every dollar you spend, over half of it is on interest and taxes.

I think we are way passed the point of just a little reform. We need a complete overhaul.

I don't think the founding fathers were correct in every detail, like the voting issues, but I do think they were correct in the form. Adhering to the constitution prevents tyranny. Our current form is closer to tyranny than it is to the constitutional republic.

I also think the wrong side won in the civil war. I believe that the southern states had every right to succeed from the union. They were forced back in and the entire country became slaves to the federal government. We are taught a flowery story of good vs evil that the north just wanted to free the black people from slavery. It is far from the truth. The issues were about money, freeing black people was an extra benefit and a strategic consideration. Not what the war was all about. I also believe that any law or policy not keeping with the basic principle that "ALL men are created equal and endowed by their Creator with unalienable rights" should be overturned. If that principle is exercised then we wouldn't have to worry about voting issues and other racial and sexist policies. By the way the context of "men" is mankind, including women. Just my views.

I am for the privitazation of schools as well: #1 all schools would be funded BETTER...maybe not equally but BETTER #2 Teachers would be paid more thus making it a more desireable job #3 Scholarships would be awarded to get lower SES kids in school

HOWEVER The problems with this are as follows
#1 Curriculum, what do they teach and how do they test it?

#2 Public Colleges and Universities....what happens to them

#3 Enrollment, how will schools decide who goes where and could they say NO to anyone


The 23% National Sales Tax is a feasable correction to Income Tax and so on....and everyone is EQUAL...if poor people don't consume a lot they aren't taxed as much, if the rich don't consume then they aren't taxed as much....it's not how RISH you are it's how much you consume!!!

I even being from the south (the last state to seceede...only because we were sandwiched in between VA and SC) I think the right side WON the war....now whether the Union should have shown such hostility is up for debate.

Reconstruction is a HUGE lesson to learn....you cannot FORCE change that fast, reconstruction caused the development of: Black Codes, the Klu Klux Klan, and white on black violence

Our current system of government is not close to TYRANNY!!! Now it's closer to an Oligarchy which is the same people in power now have been in power for a loooong time.



I think a lot of people like to exaggerate about what George W. Bush does..I don't agree with all of it but the guy deserves a break from all of the criticism! He gets called stupid and stubborn every fucking day!!! When was the last time that happened to a Democratic President?
