Default Hatton v Cotto@147-what do you think?

Before,at 140,I would slightly favour Hatton BUT that is against a weakened, weight drained Cotto,at 147,my boy whoops Hatton's ass! Bring yo ass to 147 Hatton! Cotto also now has a far far far better resume overall imo....

Cotto KO 4. I'd give Ricky 7 rounds before getting KO'd if they met at 140.

LMAO,Hatton is a tough tough guy, surely you think he would last longer? He was able to take Tszyu's shots? (WTF am I semi defending Ricky?! ) Hatton also maintains a relentless pace and has good bodyshots,my ONLY worry would be whether the pace would be too much for Cotto? That's the only Q I have left for my boy.

Your asking about 147 not 140. Cotto can keep the pace cuz he won't be drained from making weight like he was at 140. And there's a reason Hatton put his tail between his legs and ran like a bitch back to 140. He can't handle the big boys at 147. Did you see the fights last night? Cotto looked like a fuckin middleweight. He'll destroy Hatton at 147.

147 doesn't fit Hatton well, on the other hand we saw Cotto at 147 and IMO it fit him well.

So based on that and the fact that Hatton isn't getting any younger I'm gonna woth Cotto mid-way TKO rd. 5 or so.... Don't think Hattons had someone digg into his body the way Cotto would if they met. Plus Hatton weight issues would play a major factor here....

Wow!! I'm glad to see you guys see the light,Cotto would certainly win,but I wanted to see if anyone still disputed it..I hope Cotto calls him out, beats him and takes his spot in P4P lists! Cotto DID LOOK SENSATIONAL last night but I still want to see him in a 12 rounder, see if the stamina question is still an issue.By the looks of it,I don't think so!

I think Hatton is severely overrated, as you infer. I do like Cotto a lot, but just objectively I can't imagine Ricky hanging with him. Yes, Ricky hung with Tszyu, but even at his prime Tszyu didn't have power like Cotto, and Tszyu was far from prime when Ricky got to him. Cotto is more of a boxer than Tszyu is too. Not to mention considerably bigger and stronger.

For me the question is not whether Cotto could keep up with Hatton's pace, but for how long Hatton could keep up any reasonable pace while getting hit and pushed around by a much bigger and stronger man. Hatton's success depends on bullying his opponents, which he couldn't do with Cotto.

I've always said Hatton is overratted. I defended Shza a few weeks ago when he claimed he wasn't p4p top 10. I think now the vast majority would replace Hatton with Cotto on the p4p list.

Cotto had a flying start at 147, Hatton stalled on the start line.

Cotto kills Hatton at 147, 140......I dont know maybe just maybe Hatton could swing with him but it's more a hope than a carefully weighed analysis.

See the light? There was never no light to see. I never taught much of Hatton and always picked Cotto over him. And as for stamina issues. What stamina issues? Cotto's stamina has always been fine.

How does Cotto NOW have the far better resume? If he has a better resume now surely he had the better resume before last night? What has Quintano done?

If Hatton batters Urango does he nose back into the lead? I dont understand your logic.

When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough

It has nothing to do with resume, but proformance. Cotto looked great at 147. Hatton didn't. And beating up Urango means little cuz he's doing it at 140 not 147. But if you still want to compare fighters, Quintana looked good beating Julio (overrated or not). Urango looked like garbage in his last fight. That simple.
