I just hope Briggs can keep his asthma under control this time. His couterpunching was devastating even though Sergei was coming in kinda wildly. His punches are hard and straight like Wlads with incredible force behind them. I think he can be an exiting HW if he's healthy and in shape.

Who reallly knows, or gives the winner any more credibility as a champion though?? BRiggs last fight was terrible, I don't know what you mean about devestating counterpunching, it was decent, but certainly Sergei gave him every opening, and Briggs threw about 3 punches a round avg, literally.. It was a terrible fight that truly shows very little other then both fighters being mediocre. Wheras Sultans last fight was a draw with a terribly slow and average RAy Austin, so he might have big issues with size, I hope Briggs wins because I do think he could be the better fighter, but neither will really deserve even a belt in my mind.

I'm really interested in seeing if an in shape and healthy Briggs is a force to be reckoned with cause most of these HWs now are just too damn sloppy. You have all these young guys that last 3 or 4 rounds and they look like they're gonna collapse. Pretty sad if you ask me.

I think Briggs will be gassed and totally out of breath after struggling with the ring ropes prior to the introductions. If he goes overtop of the ropes,high altitude lack of oxygen.....problem. .get the asthma puffer ready!
If he goes through the ropes bending over, all that upper body muscle will bend him over like a pretzel probably pull a back muscle trying to stand up and end up on the mat with back spasms before Ibragimov makes it to the ring,.
Assuming he makes through those two obstacle's in his present state (I don't dare use the word condition when describing Briggs) He still has to deal with the exhausting "get this heavy single layer silk robe off of me" ordeal. Already sweating and puffing from having to lug the robe all the way from the dressing room he may just say "hell.. leave it on....I'm done!!!"
In any event it seem unlikely that he will ever again be able to match his blistering 3 punch per round output of the Sergei Liakovich fight.

Well it will be an interesting fight to say the least and the farther it goes the more I favor Sultan.

I think Shannon SHOULD come out guns blazin and drop the guy quick. Sultan was dropped by Ray friggin Austin for fuck's sake!

I think Sultan should be in and out and tie up often...he should be fast and be on defense as soon as his punches are thrown.

Depending on which Briggs shows up it'll either be a fun fight, a quick fight, or extremely boring!

I wonder if McCline beats Valuev if there will be a Briggs-McCline II....I think that would be an ok matchup...better than this one of course.

I would rather Sultan go after Valuev
