Im not Tarvers biggest fan, but I see no harm in him trying to shake off that beating from B Hop...with a couple of decent warm ups who knows....

Hopkins has already spanked his arse! This won't happen, Hopkins has the pick of basically anyone now, Tarver aint no where near a priority.

Tarver could be dangerous cuz he has long arms and a heavy punch . With a bit of discipline, a proper gameplan and self belief , Tarver could be a threat to men like Bernard . In that fight he wasnt even dangerous he was just totally outclassed and beaten in every dept . His heart seemed to leave him too and it appeared he was completely out of his depth .

Its hard to imagine him beating B-hop after that but what he needs to do is use teh advantages he does have to knock B-hop out of his rythm and make him look his age . Tarver doesnt enjoy fighting at pace like B-hop but he does throw punches in bunches like he did against Roy in the 1st fight . Keep that ramrod jab shooting out, slip Bernards lead and come back with a powerful southpaw left . Its ahuge ask cuz Bernard was so dominant 1st time round but Traver needs to take the fight by the scruff of the neck and force B-hop out of his comfort zone if he is to be successful . Otherwise he'll end up going the same way as last time but probably wont make it to the finish line .

Tarver looked absolutely dreadful in his fight with Hopkins. Although credit must go to B Hop for a dominating performance that was in no way Tarver at his best, or even close. He was a shell of his former self, he just had no energy whatsoever and was completely listless, like Danny Williams on a good day.

I certainly think he needs to get back in shape and redeem himself after that performance. He still has plenty to offer.

Well said, Bilbo...I thought I might be rather alone in saying Tarver deserves another chance

Nah mate, you've got me on your side, although as I'm usually in a minority of 1 maybe having me agree with you just highlights how eccentric and deranged your viewpoint is :P

Yes , maybe that is the case. I am terribly eccentric and deranged. Maybe theses anonymous sad clickers are proving a point!!

So Tarver was hurt by the weight loss? I've heard that before somewhere

As far as this goes, desperation is the only thing I can come up with. I'd like to see this about as much as I would like to see Byrd-Williamson 2. Tarver should try to get a fight with Adamek or somebody like that.

Hopkins wont fight him again. Bernard is old and really winding his career down. he will only look to mega mega fights that will cement his legacy which in my opinion is already cemented. He has already beaten the hell out of Tarver (who dont get me wrong is a good fighter) and doing it again wont prove anything more. Only way Tarver gets a shot is if he dominates one of the heavyweight champs and takes a title. And hes gonna have to do it real soon too because I dont see Hopkins fighting more than one or two more. I look for Hopkins to fight either for a heavyweight title if he can get Maskaev or to take on Calzaghe seein as Taylor doesnt get him first...

A rematch would prove nothing for B Hop and if he took the match,I'd massively disappointed especially as he is fighting for his legacy. I thought Tarver would have learnt his lesson by now,I honestly have never wanted to see someone get KTFO so bad!!! Someone please, anyone!! The person who does it should be guranteed P4P status! This is all fooking RJJs fault!!!

people hate him but i really like his demeanor. and he has the tools
he just lacks the passion and desire on his last fights IMO
