guys like Norton, Frazier, Tyson, Bowe, Liston, Patterson, are all for sure in the top 20, but you cant put Tyson ahead of Holmes or Tunney, and you cant put Frazier ahead of Foreman or Lewis, etc...

What kind of statement is NONE can disagree?.....Truth is Tunney really did not accomplish that much as a champion....Where is Frazier...He was champion during the greatest era in HW boxing history...

I always thought Patterson was overrated.

He got destroyed by Sonny Liston twice, so badly he had to wear a disguise for weeks afterwards to avoid the shame of being seen in public.

    Ali kicked his a** too.

There are probably around 20 or 30 heavies through history that could have blown Patterson away.

A trilogy of fights with Ingemar Johannson does not a great fighter make

There were negotiations between Patterson and Suger Ray Robinson for a fight to take place between them until Patterson ruined it by getting destroyed by Liston.

Patterson was a decent heavy who peaked early but was too small to mix it with the real big hitters,

Patterson was and won THEE 'World Heavyweight title' not some trincket belt.
He fought VERY tough opposition from the begining of his career, in just his 10th fight he fought Yvone Durell who was a tough mo' fo' at that time...
For his 13th fight he fought Maxim, he lost but come on for your 13th fight I credit him for taking those kind of fights.
And as far as his wins, well like I said he was the World Champ. and for that I think he belongs up there.....

I hear what your saying and I agree that youngest heavyweight champion of all time, (until Tyson) and also the first two time heavyweight champion of the world are two accolades that mean Patterson is worthy of respect and his legendary status.

But that doesn't change the fact that if he had been put in the ring with Ali, Foreman, Frazier, Larry Holmes, Lennox Lewis, Vitali Kltischko, Wladimir Klitschko, Sonny Liston, Jack Dempsey, Rocky Marciano, Jack Johnson, Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield he would almost certainly have lost and most ikely been knocked out.

And it's not just those guys, if I had to pick I'd say David Tua, Ike Ikebauchi, Chris Byrd, and probably even the likes of Frank Bruno, Tim Witherpsoon, maybe Lamon Brewster etc could have beaten him.

He peaked young when there wasn't much real talent around and always got beat up real bad against a really big strong heavyweight.

He would probably have been an excellent crusier weight though.

I can disagree because its impossible to know what they mean by all time top? If it means who would beat who then that list is bullox, and in any way I can see its BS.
