Herol Graham imo - was unlucky to come up against a prime McCallum and lost a razor thin decision, ditto for Kalambay - was way ahead against Jackson (Jackson was gonna be pulled out at the end of the 5th) before being Koed, was way ahead against Brewer before being Koed

A good chin short of being one of the greatest British fighters of all time and a fantastic long reigning world champion

CC mate - excellent post - and you've made me change my vote - Charley Burley must be the greatest

To never win a Title and be a ATG. Well he won the black version of it, Hed beaten the World Champs at welter and Middle in non title fights . You look at his Resume and think Fuck, he was to good for his own good. The only guy to beat him 2 and 0 was Ezzard Charles HOF but a weight highter in weight. Charley Burley its the people who he didnt fight that makes it more intreresting. Billy Conn Ray Robinson Henry Armstong didnt want to know Heres Some that He did beat Fritzie Zivic Coaco Kidd Billy Soose Holman Williams Jack Chase Archie Moore. His real weight was usually 150 lbs when he boxed Lt heavys He was never stopped in his career. A great Fighter.

Interesting tit bit, SRR when he was getting $10,000 for defences, wanted $50,000 to fight Burley that tells me something. When he beat Zivic he became the challenger for the welter title but it was Zivic who got the shot.

Oba Carr. Very good fighter. But Felix Trinidad, Ike Quartey and Oscar De La Hoya were just better.
