Damn, I'm sick of hearing Margarito when it comes to guys Floyd should've fought.
I think people want him to be more of a threat than he really is.
Just as a bargaining chip. So they could always say, "Well he didn't fight Margarito!"

Tszyu was a Showtime fighter, so no, HBO can't necessarily make any fight. Lewis-Tyson was an exception for HBO-Showtime.

While i don't agree with the way you put your point across, i do agree that questions do stil hang over Mayweather and i completely agree that he lost the 1st fight with Castillo.

That being said, Floyd is the most technically sound boxer i have ever seen. When he beats Oscar he will have that one special win on his record (like Hatton does with Tszyu). Only then IMO can he be considered p4p number 1. And that's providing Hopkins loses to Winky.

I don't know the ins and outs of why a fight with Tszyu never came off for Mayweather.....likewise Casamayor. I think its wrong to say Mayweather was ducking these guys tho. To be fair you are probably right about Hatton. Floyd does have too many advantages...but Calzaghe has a realistic shot of beating Hopkins. Hopkins is 42 and pretty inactive, Calzaghe would be too much at this stage. 5 years ago would have been different....

Is that all you've got? I've heard far better... are you comapring Magarito to Oscar who is bigger, stronger, faster, and more skilled than him? Or Ricky Hatton who has had trouble with a couple of contenders at best? Tszyu was already fighting Hatton, and Mayweather fought Gatti who alot of fans wanted to see him fight because they believed Gatti would be too big for him. Then he faced the welterweight division where he beat the ex-champ, and current champ as if they were sparring sessions. As for the low blow Zab threw it was with his whole body behind it, and then he cranked Mayweather with a shot to the back of his head. Now Mayweater is facing the best guy out there. Hopkins hasn't always faced everyone out there, but he has faced Jones Jr., Trinidad, Dela Hoya, Taylor, and now maybe Winky so he deserves slack... Calzaghe won't leave KGB, and thus cannot garner a fight with the premier fighters in the wordl.
