    Default Zahir Raheem

Most boring fighter in the world today?

I didn't get to see the fights last night so not much to say but seriously I'll probably never watch him fight again after the fight with Cruz on friday. Horrible, for a guy who's considered to be on a high level, he is unbelievably sloppy.

Seriously though, watching a fight like that, excessive holding needs to be penalized. Raheem should have been disqualified. The ref was disgusting, I think he finally warned him in like the 10th round and Raheem went right back to holding. And he was doing it against a no hoper. He can't even hold properly, what's with the grabbing the other guys legs, who else does that? He's got such terrible balance, its just comical watching him grabbing the guy's legs and having both of them fall over. One of the worst fights I've ever seen coming right after the Freitas fight, also one of the worst fights I've ever seen.

I actually like him a a personality but his last two outings have looked poor.

He's in the horrible prediciment of being very hard to beat but entirely unexciting to watch meaning he'll find it hard to land one of the big names for a title shot.

yea that was a horrible fight, for a 10 round fight raheem look dead tired at some point. He hugged and hugged, he was suppose to shine against cruz but I would of gave the win to cruz. scoring in boxing is a total mess, boxing doesn't need any more fighters like raheem. and raheem needs to stop riding that win over morales for the rest of his career because so far his a one hit wonder.

i think raheem is a awfull fighter.

Its amazing how far he's fallen since the Morales fight.

That guy he was fighting was perfect for him, and he still didn't look good.

Well I thought he won, Cruz didn't land much at all, Raheem landed the better punches.

But I think he should have either had points taken away or been disqualified.

Its like with the Juarez fight, maybe the ref was too harsh on him, I never thought he was as bad as most people did because I do think excessive holding should be penalized. But the problem I had with it, after the ref started penalizing Raheem for holding behind the head, why did he continue to do it?

Raheem is a good fighter. But his style would make it so that people don't want to fight him. But I think he could beat the title holders out there. But they won't fight him because of his style. Very similar to what byrd and wright went through. But I think his trainer Don House should work on developing a better jab for him. If Raheem had a consistant jab he would be 10 times the fighter he is now.

yeah but he hasn't been consistant with it since then, which is why I think he hasn't been as impressive. Don House should dig that into him.

But I think it's also that Morales stands straight up and Raheem could hit him with the counter right at will too.

I think Raheem's going through the motions at this point.

He'll probably be top form IF he gets another big fight opportunity. I'd like to see him against Casamayor.

I'm not even going into his actual ability although I don't think as highly of him as some people do. Its just he's awful to watch, that's all I'm talking about.

A fight with Casamayor would be ugly as hell, I'd favor Casamayor even though he's getting older.

If he came into a fight with Juan Diaz in the kind of shape he came into the Cruz fight he would get a monumental beatdown. His legs looked totally shot, he was gassed much more than he should have been, his balance was absolutely ridiculous.

I don't think too much of Julio Diaz but then again right now I don't think too much of Raheem.

I wonder if he cuts too much weight, that's almost what it looks like, cause his legs are just weak, balance is horrible. You could see that a little in the Morales fight but not as much as the last two fights or the Juarez fight where his legs looked shot too.

the only reason i say casmayor is because i know caysamayor will fight anybody and is a big name. that could be a tough fight though.

I think that Raheem and Casamayor fight is a pick em fight.

And I think Raheem takes Julio Diaz.

Juan Diaz... Raheem would need a consistant jab for that one and I'd like to see him fight Julio Diaz first.
