    Default Pacman wants Soto!

    http://www.fightnews.com/principe55.htm

Top Rank CEO Bob Arum may have succeeded in goading Filipino boxing sensation into giving Mexican boxer Humberto Soto a chance to face him next.

In an interview with Philippine TV network ABS-CBN, the 27-year-old Pacquiao talked about avenging the loss of his younger brother at the hands of the upcoming Mexican fighter.

“If I was there facing him it would have been a different result. Maybe it’s time we face each other and see what stuff he's made off,” said Pacquiao.

The southpaw Pacquiao has been very consistent of not naming names as to who his next foe will be.

Last night’s experience in New York however made Pacquiao specific about his desire to battle Soto soon.

I like Manny but I want Soto to KTFO him!

Did Soto look good last night?

A bit surprised to hear he was rocked by Bobby.

    he looked real good

when he got rocked it was when he said 'fuck it' and just started throwing large amounts of shots and allowed himself to get caught ereal hard, but he barely reacted and just started punching again

it was right as he finished throwing a shot, if he got hit a second earlier as he was throwing it it probably would have done alot of damage

I heard the fight will only be in Vancouver if he is fighting Guzman
and if its Soto or Barrera it would be in Macau..?

If it does go down in Vancouver I want Saddoboxing press passes and shirts and other wicked things to go along with it.
and everyone from around here better be getting together before hand just for the good times.

I was really close on my Bobpac-Soto prediction . I predicted Soto by mid-round KO.

Bobby rocked Soto twice in 4th round. Manny is a vicious finisher, Bobby's NOT.

With Soto's lack of lateral footwork, less head movements, and weak chin... he would make a great prey for Pac.

I don't think Soto will last 6 rounds with Manny.

WOAH!! Lets not hug on to Manny too much. He's a wonderful fighter, someone whom I've defended many many times BUT he is flawed and can be beaten. To describe Soto's chin as weak is very poor judgement. He took a haymaker which would have staggered ALOT of fighters and rather than hold on,fought back.He also showed his chin in the Juarez match in which Rocky landed that super(and his ONLY good punch ) left hook and Soto took it. He has decent lateral movement and his defence was good apart from those 2 moments.

I'd favour Manny but I think Soto has the tools to beat him,it's his lapses in concentration which would be his problem.

soto's a good fighter and even more so i like the way he carried himself even after he defeating bobby, REAL CLASS ACT!, but in all honesty bobby rocked and hurt soto.

so the ONLY way i see Soto defeating Pac Man is if Pac Man seriously blows off training and gets some weird Canadian Bug Flu lol

I also agree with you and no mention is made that Bobby has superior defensive skills to those of Manny. And we all witnessed how Manny reacted to JMM's body shots.

Are you actually comparing Pac/Juarez power punching?

Juarez can't even carry MAB's spit bucket.

I like Soto. He's very humble and he reminds me of young Erik Morales. And we all know that EM beat Pac.

But Soto haven't been in real war yet. Pac is a pressure fighter and Soto will just be overwhelm.

Is this insider news regarding Pacs latest excuse to be used "Canadian Bug Flu" ? Ranks up there with the cheap sock excuse and not having blood samples available prior to a fight.

    Yup,to beat Manny,you need to:

    have a good jab

Be able to take beats because you will get hurt at some point by the Pac Monster

WORK THE BODY(i'M TELLING YOU,HE can get hurt/slowed down to the body)

Frustrate him (block his shots, make him become left han happy because it's easy to pick off) and a whole host of other things, I'm not sure if Soto can do all these things but certainly he has the capacity to do so.

With regards to him getting rocked, that was just carelessness on his part,I'd like to think he would not be so careless v Manny. It was like Manny getting rocked by Larios, you don't read too much into it because of the situation.

LMAO,you guys take this too seriously! Pacstraightleft, yes,Juarez left hook is comparable to Manny's straight left hand P4P punch power wise. And to say Soto has not been in wars shows me you have not seen much of him
