Default Has Anyone Ever Seen a Strawweight Fight?

Has anyone ever seen a fight between two strawweights? I've never even seen a strawweight.

Yes nad for the money you will not get more action out of anyone else in any division. Problem is there are so few of them
Hidden Content IN CASE THEY ALL FORGOT WHAT REAL HEAVYWEIGHT POWER WAS!!!

Plenty of times. The usually pack them on a big PPV card. One of the undercards.

The best in the world currently is probably a PR fighter named Ivan Calderon, 28-0. He is going to be moving up in weight soon to Jr Flyweight but there are some good techincal fights, not much power.

I wish they televised them here in the states. I'll bet if there was a good trashtalking strawweight champion he would get a lot of endorsments because that would be kind of funny.

Calderon can be content on easy wins in his division. ....OR....

Ivan can take a chance and move up in weight, fight someone known.

He'll get his attention. It'll take a helluva lot of b@lls to do that though.

Yes I have seen straw-weights fight. When I was a kid I used to watch the schoolboys under 10's fight at our local Rivera Center.

A couple of the smaller ones were straweights..............until they turned 11 years old at least.

    Have I ever.....
I strongly recommend you got to YouTube and type in Ricardo Lopez and watch all the videos of him there. You'll see some great technique along with some brutal KO's one of my favorites is when he KO's Preecha.. Whoa! that was a brutal combination he throws...

And that's exactly what hes doing for his next fight.
He will move up in weight and face #1 fighter there who also happens to be The Ring & WBO Light Flyweight champ, Hugo Cazares.
Should be a VERY interesting fight for both fighters. They are set to meet on 8-25-07 in Puerto Rico.

I uploaded Hugo Cazares last fight to YouTube incase you missed it heres the link.

    Yeah seen a few...

If your gunna watch them fight they are normaly one of the very first fights on an undercard sadly... The 'named' Straw-weights sadly all seem to be from asian countrys and very seldom (if ever) fight outside them...

Calderon is fighting Cazarez? Seriously? Wow, that's awesome.

Calderon is such a beautiful boxer, very fluid and fundamentally solid, which is surprising because with the lack of depth at that weight, it would be easy to forget the fundamentals and just get by being the superior fighter.

Also, Mohammad Rachman, the guy everyone wanted Calderon to face, lost his belt yestarday.

Calderon - Cazares promises to be a great fight, and probably the more risky for Calderon. He is showing great heart on taking this fight. Calderon with the skill and Cazares with the power. The disadvantage for Calderon here is that Hugo usually goes very heavy to the fights and he may be too strong, but Calderon team negotiated that they have to be at not more than 10 pounds over 108 the day of the fight. This was a smart move from Calderon team. Calderon needs to be in the best shape of his life to resist the pressure that Hugo will be putting thru 12 rounds.

Click the link I posted above for the Cazares fight and then watch Pt. 3 of the Cazares fight you'll see Arum, Calderon & Cazares talking about the fight.

    Thanks CCM. cc in 24.

But I'm talking about interesting matchups with the likes of...

    Darchinyan, Arce, Donaire, Mijares.

Calderon is too damn good, and he bores the hell from me, so I'd only be interested in seeing him with a monster or a proven boxer such as Mijares. That would be b@llsy, because he's a little man compared to all of them.
