I have 500 VHS tapes which I may have to convert onto DVD so have got a dvd and video recorder which was cheap.
Now I am looking to buy a dvd recorder with a hard drive what is the best one out there. I live in England.

Hi Master,
I've been looking into the same thing.
Panasonic do DVD/VHS recorders with large hard drives.
Though if you have a DVD burner on your PC then just buy a dazzlebox from somewhere like Argos for about £30 and you can plug your VHS recorder straight into your PC and then record and burn the VHS tapes to DVD.
Quite a few experienced uploaders use the dazzlebox.
Hope that helps
Rob
Thanks for that information and response. What I was trying to say but not being clear was I will use the machine that I bought on the cheap to convert the tapes on to disk. That will wear out the machine I am sure but it only cost me £70 so will not mind.
However I am moving with technology and will try and record boxing fights on dvd's and I wanted to know what is the best in terms of value for money dvd recorder with hard drive out there?
