I'd have to say Hagler wins it since Jones was pretty early in his career at 160. I imagine a gutter war that Hagler would have enjoyed. That is if we are talking Hagler in 1981 and not 1987.

Agreed, although I think at Super-middle Roy would win on points, even if it was 15 rounds.

Jones would win a tough decision.

Roy Jones by decision. As much as I love Hagler, I just think a fast moving guy with blistering handspeed like Roy would be hell for him. It would be an interesting fight though, I would count Hagler out against any MW who ever lived.

I think Jones would of dominated Hagler similar to the way he dominated Toney.

Well i don't think it would be that one sided i think Jones would dominate in middle of the ring using his lightning speed to outbox Hagler and enough power to get Hagler's respect Hagler's chance would be when Jones goes to the ropes i think Hagler could win a couple of rounds when Jones goes to the ropes and Hagler outworks him in a couple of rounds but overall Jones would have best of it winning a ud.

A prime Hagler at 160 beats Roy...He would actually inpose his will and Roy's only chance would be to hit and run.....

I will say this and have many times...at 168 Jones may be the best fighter I have ever seen in person

I agree with you Daxx that he is probably one of the best fighters ever p4p and at 168 was unbeatable i don't think Hagler would of beat Jones i don't think he would of been able to work on inside often enough to get the victory and i know Hagler had granite chin but even Hagler would have to respect Jones i remember Thomas Tate going 12 tough rounds with one the top 5 p4p hardest hitters of all time Julian Jackson but only went 2 rounds with Jones.

Don't know if you ever saw Hagler Vs Mugabi ICB but for the first 3 rounds I waited for Marvin to drop (and I had already known he won the fight lol) I think as some have already said it depends on what version of Hagler even though when he retired he was in no way on the downslide..but the fact that Lucifer pointed out at 160 Roy was still a work in progress.......

Oh and here is one for MR140.................Hagler was robbed in the Leonard fight

Yes i've seen the fight Daxx i remember a perfect uppercut from Mugabi that almost lifted Hagler's head off his shoulders that should of dropped Hagler but he kept coming i also remember then Mugabi went down and then sat up and could of continued but he thought i can't beat this damn guy and just quit its was one of the most brutal Middleweight title fights ever.

Hagler was an old 32 going into the Leonard fight, Leonard caught him at the right time!

Well theres two sides to that Leonard being 3 years ring rusty and never having a fight at Middleweight i would say Leonard had bigger disadvantages than Hagler.
