It must be a huge deal over there, and it should be a hell of a time up until the game actually starts. I remember when the superbowl was played in San Diego, and that was a huge deal. I was in highschool, and worked for a company that setup all of the lighting, decorations, etc. for the post banquet at the Marriott. I got a bracelet that allowed me to go in and mingle with the players during dinner. Of course I was broke so I scrapped that idea and went out to the crowd with my friend and I sold our braclets to some Bronco fans for almost $500.00 ea. It was a good day for me, but when I look back now I should have stayed and enjoyed the experience. Being pussy whipped and broke usually doesn't lead to good decisions when your young.

In the 1st post on the thread, it was asked if anything big happened where I lived...............


College Football - No (although Randall Cunningham is one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever put on a NFL jersey)

College Basketball - Yes (greatest team of all time, although they put that team together the same way the team in the movie "Blue Chips," was put together)

USC looked pretty good tonight, but I still think that they're a long ways off from their recent glory days of having Matt Leinart and Carson Palmer at the helm. I just don't think that John David Booty will keep them at that level. I don't know how they finished as good as they did last year, but this season is going to be much different.

LSU is a fucking juggernaut this year, and they are by far and away the best team in the NCAA this year, imo.




Maybe my UNLV "Running Rebels," will have some kind of miracle year sometime soon, so that one day I could actually give a shit about who wins games without me having to put money on it.

....sorry guys a "blow out" or a "smashing" in my opinion means one team is AT LEAST 3 touchdowns behind.

For example Florida vs Ohio State for the National Championship....THAT was a blow out

or Nebraska vs Florida in 1995...THAT was a blow out

USC and Nebraska aren't even close to being the best teams this year....it's LSU and Florida those teams will beat both USC and Nebraska easily
