Default Freddy Roach: a Guererro fight may make sense for Pacquiao??

    http://boxingtalk.com/pag/article14022.html

I've lost alot respect for Roach over the last few months. I don't know whether it's the pressure or what, but he's been opening his mouth way too much. Anyway,he says that Manny may move up(thus not fighting JMM which would be the biggest and best fight by far) and Davi Diaz looks like the most likely opponent. hen the interviewer asks him if Robert Guerrerro who called Manny out, would be worth fighting and he says, with a few more wins, yes?! WTF is he talking about?

As for Manny moving up,I wish Pacquaio was a bit more educated. I mean 1 minute he said it was hard to make weight, then he said he was playing around with Freddy and now it's hard to make weight again. Talk about fucking excuses.

Roch says Manny says he wants the fight with the most $$$,that tells me 2 things. Manny has become a bit $$$ hungry, rather than the warrior from before and secondly,he contradicts himself way too much.

The JMM fight is the biggest fight,no doubt about it in my mind. Biggest for legacy, biggest for $$$. Roach mentioned JMM going to Indoensia, but that was then.Roach also says they will fight Juan if the $$$ are right. What if they arent? This is now.

    Fuck what Roach thinks!

Marquez is the fight that Manny needs & for that matter...it's the fight that boxing needs.

I know man,i CAN'T believe what he is saying:

Manny doesn't know if he can make weight,1 minute he can,the next he can't.

Roach says Guererro could get a few more wins and would be worthy of fighting Manny. He then says the $$$ need to be right for a JMM fight even though it's the biggest fight.

He then says a $$4 need to be right for a Diaz fight and questions who Diaz has beaten? He then says David Diaz could get a shot? Fucking contradiction after contradiction. WTF is this?!

Pacquiao for me has 4 options, fight the top 2 men at either 130 or 135...

    1.Juan Manuel Marquez
    2.Juan Diaz
    3.Edwin Valero
    4.Joel Casamayor

In that order of preference for myself.
Remember the good old days, we miss you Marco!

    It's very simple.

Pac made weight for Barrera despite the fact that he had a bunch of distractions during camp. If he can make weight for Barrera, then he can make weight for Marquez and fight him at 130.

That's the biggest money fight out there and the most meaningful one. If he fights Marquez, he can go up to 135, win or lose.

If Valero is on the list, then Guzman should be as well.

Everybody wants to fight Pacquiao. I gave all these fighters a chance of winning over pacquaio. the question is : who will give Pacquaio the biggest pay? That fighter will most likely be the next contender. Juan Manuel Marquez is PAcquaio's best option.

Glad to see you speaking sense Bruce. All this BULLSQUIRT from Roach about Guerrero, who has Juan Diaz faced is absolute shit. He sounds nervous and he/Manny sounds like a businessmen rather than the warrior he is supposed to be.

on my understanding pac fights for money nothing more nothing less. he had nothing when he was a kid and going into boxing made him a gazillionaire.

sweetpea its not as simple as you think, pac is plague with weight issues. im sure you know that as a person gets older he gains weight on the gut area and we cant do anything about it. he payed the price for staying too long on a weight that he is too big for. he lost and the same thing will happen again if he doesnt act quick. BUT i wish he and JMM will face off before pac moves up.

After seeing them both fight Barrera, I know styles make fights, but I think pacquaio is too much for JMM, I want to see him fight Juan Diaz and the guys at lightweight... I am tired of him facing the same old opponents. Now it would be nice to see him face JMM, but he has been coming into fight night at 144 which makes me think super featherweight is too light for him now.

At last, there's someone who really knows boxing. A massive Mayweather fan knows a lot about boxing. Yup, pac dominated Barrera more than Marquez did (the stats should confirm that) and he was a more complete boxer than Marquez in that fight. He did almost everything, he took the lead or offense - not just countering - and when Barrera countered, he masterfully 'countered the counter! It was freshly new style which I'll call 'offensive counter.' He threw everything, straights, hooks, and jabs (the punch Marquez rarely uses), and digged into the body as well. He moved well, got hit less, and moved with lightning speed. If there was a great boxing exhibition, I think that was it. Geeze, I can't understand hardly anyone, including the pac-fans, appreciated it. I wonder why they were impressed with the Marquez - Juarez fight. Juarez just doesn't know how to fight. He's easily outboxed as Barrera easily did, and I'm pretty sure Sotto did too, though I didn't get to watch that one. He doesn't even throw decent straights and jabs, and his offense is limited to hooks that only effective at short distance. If there was anything good about him, it was his defense. He blocked most of the Marquez shot. If he didn't, he wouldn't have lasted 12 rounds or his cut, bleeding from the 1st, would've opened up by the 5th.

Did I sound like a blind pac-fool? Wait 'til you hear this one: First, although I loved the way pac fought in that fight, which I thought was superb, I think he fought like that cuz he wasn't in the best of condition. I think he was weight drained and he probably thought he didn't have enough energy to engage Marco in an all out war. Second, I'm against him moving up, at least not yet. Having started as a flyweight (112), I think he over-extended himself just too much to soon. And I'm definitely against him fighting the likes of Juan Diaz at this time. And thirdly, pac will fight anyone if the prize is right and as foolish as it may be, I think he'll even fight Oscar dela Hoya if the price is right (now, I didn't start this one ). So if he's offered the biggest paycheck for Marquez fight and he still didn't take the fight, I'll be the first one to scream - chiiicken!!!... But, IMO, Marquez shouldn't be a big sweat for him...

CC for you, Taeth. Now, I can be reasonable sometimes, right?!
Once in awhile, get outside in fresh air, take a deep breath & with a deep sigh, let out all the things that's bottled up inside you & be free, & you'll get a glimpse of nirvana.

He would have been, if he wasn't fighting Soto in a few weeks
