Calzaghe- Hopkins

Really hope this fight gets made now. I know they're a bit old now but I reckon it could be a cracker. Calzaghe will have too much for Hopkins IMO but would a win silence the doubters stateside ? Will this fight be made ?

I think it will be made and furthermore i think Calzaghe will win it.
Joe has too much power to be tied up like Winky did and will stay on the outside, where he is far superior in combination and single shot speed.

At a distance Hopkins too will be forced to flurry in order to land and as the punch stats increase above his comfort zone his advanced age will come into play.
Hopkins has an iron chin however and i don't see him being floored or hurt by Calzaghe, i just see a huge number of punches being landed by the prince of wales, hopkins tiring badly and droppind a Unanimous decision....

You grossly underestimate Hopkins' speed and ability not to get hit... I would say Winky has single punch hand speed, and is harder to hit that Calzaghe, and Hopkins was able to counter him. Look at Bika ... all Bernard Hopkins needs to do to make this a tough fight is come in with his head, and It doesn't matter how strong you are, you can be tied up. Evander tied up Tyson, Hopkins will be able to tie up Calzaghe, but they both will be doing that. 5 years ago Hopkins wins this by a margin, but right now I say its really close.

I'm a hopkins fan!
But as i said Hopkins advanced age is going to work to his detriment in these potentail fights.
Even Hop isn't ageless. I really don't rate the win againbst Winky, i feel Wright was totally weighed down by the move to LH and that he lacked speed in every dept.
I'm not underrating Hopkins, but Joe will win, i have absolutley no doubt.
