Default Puya's take on Oscar de La Hoya

First I have to admit that he has done good to boxing making fights as a promoter but as a boxer he is damaging the sport.

First lose the fight against Mosley part II then he fights Vargar....why? he lost by KO to Tito, after that goes up to fight Felix Sturm he won the fight but almost everyone felt that he lost that fight. Then I give him credit for fighting B-Hop but lost by KO. This is the part I most hate.....HE is decided not to fight Winky after he(Winky) Pick apart Tito in a fashion way but goes to fight MAYORGA the one who lost by KO to Tito and of course Oscar won it. Then he decides to look for smaller opponents and finds Mayweather who was extremely hungry for money and lost by SD a fight that in my eyes he lost by 2 rounds 116-112.

So far he had more losses than wins but the fight he won where against Mayorga and a gift decision against Sturm.

Why in the world he is so deserving to fight Cotto or the winner of Hatton / Mayweather ? this 3 are Elite while Oscar is NO MORE. Like everyone else he has to fight hes way up to get another chance For example....

Margarito looses the fight against Williams so he goes and fights his way to get another shot and since Oscar looses to PBF he has to fight and win to get another shot.. I have an Idea!!! instead of causing more damage to the sport of boxing do good then since you have 2 more fights in you like you said. Leave Cotto and the Winner of HAtton/Mayweather and go fight Margarito to see how can you handle a top WW and if you win BOOM there is your shot at the title or you can do us a favor and retire your ass and do what you are doing great Boxing promotion.

I had to take it out of my system and please excuse my grammar.

Margarito would pee his pants out of joy if this fight was ever made. He would be seeing big ass dollars for that. That one is even bigger than a Floyd fight. Its a toss up for me, depends on which Margarito shows up.

This paragraph doesn't make much sense, and the parts that do make sense are just wrong.

The Vargas fight was a big big fight that was very entertaining and fought at a high level. Who cares if Vargas lost to Tito? Was Vargas never supposed to get a big fight again just because he lost to Tito at the age of 22? Makes no sense.

Oscar fought Mayorga instead of Winky because he had been off for 20 months and needed a comeback fight at 154. Also, it's not like Winky was just sitting around, he was at 160 fighting Jermain Taylor for the middleweight title.

Finally, fighting Mayweather wasn't a case of Oscar "looking for smaller opponents." What I would call it is Oscar "looking for the undisputed best pound-for-pound fighter in the world."

Why in the world he is so deserving to fight Cotto or the winner of Hatton / Mayweather ? this 3 are Elite while Oscar is NO MORE. Like everyone else he has to fight hes way up to get another chance For example....
Now this I actually agree with. Cotto should fight the Mayweather/Hatton winner and I'd prefer that Oscar not get in the way of that.

Yeah big payday for Tony. I'd love to see Tony fight Oscar; my money's on Tony. Oscar would gas out and then lights out.

All the wieght classes or not, Oscar is the most over rated boxer in the history of the sport. He is a homosexual, loses fights, takes dives, and is generally a horrible individual. I hope he figths Judah and gets KTFO.

If they ever fought, Judah would get knocked out. Even past his prime, Oscar's left hand is more than enough to hurt Judah's shaky chin.

Yes you are probably right, I just wish someone else completely undeserving would hand ODLH supreme punishment....

Grow Up...in his prime he beat everyone....including Trinidad, that fought him and was one of the best of his generation. He lost his first fight with Mosley while he was still in his better days, but that was a great fight that both fighters were impressive in at times. If you dislike him personally thats another thing but he has always fought the best and beaten legends in the process.
