This forum is basically split in half on the fight so IF Mayweather wins. Give him the respect he deserves, no excuses no that, he is the best.


Same goes for Hatton if he wins.

If Mayweather wins,he'll get the credit he deserves and he'll also be asked by knowledgeable forum members to fight the best WW on the planet,Miguel Cotto.He'll retain his P4P number 1 slot too,can't get much more credit than that.

If Hatton wins,he goes to P4P number 1. Again,can't do much more than that. As for the forum being split,it's because it's a British forum,on most other forums,Hatton is a huge under dog and rightfully so. It's only his second fight at WW,he looked awful in his first,for whatever reason.

Personally i think the style PBF uses is an art form in itself...hence the reason my fave fighters are the likes of PBF, SRL, SRR, Sweet Pea etc! If hatton wins then respect to him and he would of deserved it....i have no issues with that but if PBF wins alot of people need to give him more respect.

That 1 thing I totally agree,with too many people say Mayweather runs/isn't exciting. The only fights I can think of that were boring were the Baldo fight and possibly the Judah fight. He only ran on the Baldo fight.Other than that,and as dislikeable as he is,the guy is an artist,a P4P picasso when it comes to boxing skills. I say it often,but Mayweather has one of the greatest defences I've ever seen.Ever!His shoulder roll is a thing of beauty.

I was watching 24/7 and even though I dont like Roger Mayweather he was right about one thing, The man that is supposed to win will win. Mayweather is the bigger, smarter, faster fighter. Logic points to him winning, plain and simple. But this is boxing and Hatton is a good fighter in his own right.Still, Mayweather is comfortable at WW, Ricky is probably still adjusting. If Mayweather win I will give him respect, but not any more than I already do. I will look at him the same.

I think how you win is important. If PBF gets a decision and never attempts to beat his opponent than he's gonna catch flack. Make it an appealing fight and he gets all the credit in the world. In this fight he's the bigger man so I expect him to try to end the fight. If he does that he gets my respect. If he coasts to a decision avoiding contact and doing just enough to win the round, he gets none.

My problem with PBF is he doesn't know who he wants to be and stick to his own strengths outside the ring. He can make fans just by being himself. Don't talk like you're Tyson but fight like Whitaker. Talk about who you are and what you do. To me it's like the best 3 point shooter talking trash like he won the slamdunk contest. Just be who you are and the fans will come because of the talent and skill. I want to like him, but I can't because he's so damn annoying.

I am truly waiting to see his defining moment. He avoided it with ODH and won a debatable decision. Here's your chance PBF put on a great fight and step into being an icon.
