    Default In the doghouse

Ok as some of you know Memphis has recently moved to Newbury. We moved a couple of weeks back and Ive been on the job hunt since,I say hunt, the jobs found me, I start one on Monday. So anyway, these past two weeks Ive been at a loose end so Mrs Memphis invited me to her Friday afternoon kickboxing class. Not really my cup of tea to be honest but I was doing nothing else so went along. Now Ive never done any kicking, karate, kickboxing ect ect, but with boxing and paying attention I quickly had the moves down and I was front/side and back kicking with the best of em. Anyway, the guy who runs it comes around and says "Matt you done any martial arts before, you've got good balance ect ect..." With that I can see the red fog appear in Mrs Memphis's eyes, what started out as a gently pad session was suddenly of great importance, I'd invaded her lunch time fun and she was getting stroppy about it Didnt help that I tried to give her advice when blocking punches

As I said I start a job on Monday so I cant go anymore, Ive got the address of a gym not too far away that does cage fighting so Im going to give that a whirl.

So come on fella's, who's been in the doghouse for similar...........or worse?

When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough

The Girlfriends brother and Dad were moving a Cabinet last week and I think they were struggling.

Now I'm not a big guy, but I come from a hard working background where I was always labouring on building sites and at home and at part time jobs. It's made me pretty hardy I guess and I can lift a fair bit more than Bodyweight relatively easily.

So as I arrived at the girlfriends house just after I finished work and my Girlfriends Mom says "Could you give the guys a hand upstairs they're moving some stuff." The ya had failed miserably really! I bound up the stairs, grab a hold of the cabinet and without much difficulkty bring it downstairs and out the door. The looks on the faces of my girlfriends dad and bro said it all as their wife/mom laughed at them.

Actually when I first met my Girlfriends Dad he tried to impose himself on me saying "So how does it feel to meet a real man?"
I replied "Tall" and he went bright red.

    So yeah I can relate!!!

I was in the doghouse over a dog we once had. His name was Charlie and he was a stray who had been abused. If you raised your voice he flattened out on the floor. Anyway, we're getting ready for Sunday dinner and Charlie walks by the dinner table and, without missing a beat, turns his head as he walks by the table and grabs a dinner roll. It was so smooth I wish I had filmed it. So I chase him into the family room and start yelling at him. He jumps up on the couch and starts growling at me. Suddenly, my wife and both kids start yelling at me saying the dog is having flashbacks, etc. I spent the rest of the night watching tv alone in the living room. Lesson? I now know my place, right below the fish in the aquarium.
