I dont even take any notice of it to be honest....My motto is the Champ makes the belt these days but if it aint WBO WBC WBA IBF or The Ring.I wouldn't recognise the Champion whoever he was.I mean they are the estabilished big four. Five if you include the ring but I see there belt as more of a reward, rather than a real championship belt.

That's not true. Nugzar Margvelashvili (Georgia) is the WBU Continental Champion... http://www.wbu.cc/continental_champions.asp?

Now, I kinda like the idea of being 'Millenium'-champion. However, being a 'Novice'-champion sounds a bit rude, if you ask me... But acknowledging my humble status (and ridiculously low rep), I am thinking of adding 'WBU Mini-flyweight Novice Champion of the World' to my profilehere on Saddo.

Perhaps some time in the future, I can advance to WBU Continental (like Nugzar), then WBU International (like Paul Smith, and only Paul Smith), then WBU World Champ (like four brits, and only those four brits) and one day I might even make it to the WBO?

BTW: Great find Jimafee. The WBU website sure is worth a laugh. I actually like their feature when looking at past fights (http://www.wbu.cc/past_fights.html), although I am feeling embarassed that I never knew before that George Foreman is a former Supermiddleweight Champ. I guess you learn something new every day?

This is just the same as the WBO just over 20yrs ago. The reason why british fighters (not all, just the not-so-good ones) go for it is cos they havent got what it takes for a 'legit' belt
