So I re-watched this flick considering my girlfriend had never seen it, and i always really deep down wondered.

Why the hell does Rosebud have to be a sled?!

rosebud represents a WARM SAFE FUN HAPPY PLACE/TIME in his life.........his childhood!

Rosebud= happy times no worries, family, parents carefree everything was A OK!

rosebud= before all the drama, the glitz/glamour, the judging, the using and abusing, the politcs, the stress, the pain and suffering, the finger pointing, the selling out, the etc etc
