    Default Robbery [spoilers]

Damn never thought I'd say it; I thougt Jermaine landed the more hurtful shots throughout the fight!

I definately think Jermaine won this fight.

I disagree I had it 117-111 for Pavlik. I had Jermain winning the 2, 9, 10 rounds. I just thought that Pavlik did more throughout the whole fight. Taylor would land a few here and there. Pavlik was just consistant enough throughout each round.

    Fightnews says:
WBC/WBO middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik (33-0, 29 KOs) Jermain Taylor (27-2-1, 17 KOs) in a very exciting non-title encounter on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas. Fighting at a catch weight of 166, Pavlik was busier while Taylor landed the sharper punches. Most of the rounds were close, but it was Pavlik who closed stronger.

Maybe the scorecard should have been a bit closer, but doesn't sound like a robbery...

Not a robbery at all. Even you you thought JT won, how would you score it? 115-113 Taylor is most favorable you could score it for JT. I had it 116-112 Pavlik. Even fight after the 10th, I gave the last 2 to Pavlik. Too close to be a robbery in either direction. All the judges agreed. No robbery.

fightnews never says the "total" truth . When Casayomer "beat" his last opponent , fightnews said something around the lines "Casamoyer won a controversial decision" They never really emphasize , and try to not take sides from what i realized. 116-112 Taylor wins it hands down. Harder punches, cleaner punches, enough to win .

    F yeah.

I had Taylor up nearly every round. The judges eyes were clouded with visions of a Pavlik KO which was not to happen. This clouded vision made them fail to see that JT outfought him in the process.

JT was sharper, more effective, faster, great defense, beautiful jab.

What did Pavlik do? Land a couple big shots that didn't faze Taylor and look sluggish?

Royal fuck job by the judges. UD my ass.

How? He landed the bigger punches but was consistently outscored.

    WTF?
I am very surprised that ANYONE could have Jermain Taylor WINNING the fight? That's just crazy. He gave away the last two rounds in a close fight. He LOST.

If you look at Taylor's history he has alot of close fights that have been debated often. Both bouts with Hopkins, Ronald Wright, even the bout with Cory Spinks. Each time he got away with the decision. Is anybody suprised he couldn't keep getting the benefit of the doubt at the scoring table forever.

Some strange analysis occuring here. If Taylor won 117-111 as someone suggests thats 9 rounds to Taylor.
I missed those 9. He won a couple at best, shared a few 10-10. But he never won nine rounds. He was stuck behind Pavliks jab for most of the fight and out of every 3 minute rounds he had a few bursts lasting 20-30 seconds each. These bursts were never effective as they never at any stage have Pavlik in any sort of trouble.
Taylor seemed unwilling/incapable of taking any sort of risks as he knew from the previous fight he would get knocked out.
