Default Should Mosely vs Judah be a PPV

I personally think this sucks for Americans that this fight is a PPV event.

Mosely has never been big box office, Judah hasn't won a fight worth mentioning since Cory Spinks, they both lost their last fights to Miguel Cotto.

Who decided this should be PPV?

This won't get more than 150,000 buys imo, in fact I'd consider it a 'success' if it got near 100,000.

It's a fight between two fighters on a losing streak, one old, the other washed up I can't see how HBO are charging for this?

Don't get me wrong I think it will be an entertaining fight but it should be a freebie, not a fucking PPV

Anyone else have thoughts on this?

    No!!!!!

They both just lost to Cotto, and they get a consolation prize of a PPV fight against each other?

It should be a good fight, but it should not be a PPV!

The fight is on Pay-per-view because of scheduling conflicts. HBO already had its May schedule laid out, and rather then wait till the end of the year sugar shane and zab will fight on PPV.

A lot fights end up on PPV because either HBO has used up its WCB budget or it can not fit it in their schedule.

Ah good answer I'm completely unfamiliar with how these things work.

Is it a full priced PPV or are they charging less?

Then they should have put this fight on the CW. Neither fighter has ever had the shoulders to carry a PPV fight. It's all been based on the other guy's reputation. You can't just toss everything on PPV that falls outside of your budget. That's not how you ingratiate yourself to fans. Look at what Elite XC is doing, they're carrying the show over to CBS--how can they make that work but boxing and HBO can't?

The only reason I thought of was this could be the end of the road for one of them and it's the last chance to cash it.

Yes, you should cherish the moment, because on the few occassions that you agree with me, are the only times that you sound intelligent.

I don't think it should necessarily be PPV, but I will pay for it, just to watch Mosley make Judah go into his mental turtle shell. I'll pay for this before I pay to watch another Mayweather/DeLaHoya.

I dont know Puya, I think the fight promises 3 action packed rounds at most before Zab malfunctions.
