I heard cuba is such a beautiful place with great culture, be nice if they loosened up the political noose and the US lifted our restriction to enter without recourse..

I am of the opinion that Cuba will want to open up trade with the US and the US may want to trade a little bit with them just to slowly get them ready for the full scale capitalism that will come crushing down on them after this old guard of Commies pass away....I don't think they have many young people to help in that country politically if they did have good young commies there then Castro would have handed power over to them and not his brother who's old as dirt himself

I believe you shut the doors on them because they're commies, however in China where there's money the US is more than happy to trade with. Being a red seems to matter less when green is involved

Figured I get better response and conversation over this topic... I mean my understanding is most live in the dark ages still, how great for them to be able to have their economy stimulated as well as enjoying some of the better modern conviences

Cuba is already open - we can go there whenever we want and stay where we want and do what we want while there (within reason). We can buy any Cuban goods and sell any goods to Cuba.

When someone parked nuclear missles 90 miles off of our coast you're not super eager to help them in any way, shape, or form.

China is crap but #1 They have a ton of our debt and #2 there are a BILLION PEOPLE THERE and what better way to destroy them than with McDonald's and Coca-Cola We might as well bomb them with ho-ho's and twinkies!
