Default ~Spicolis Rd. by Rd. of Margarito vs.Cintron II & Cotto vs.Gomez~

Miguel cotto 31-0 (25) the former WBO Jr. Welterweight and current WBA welterweight champion won the vacant title in impressive fashion with a 5th round stoppage over the current WBO welterweight champion Carlos quintana in December of 06'.This will be his 4th defense and he is coming off arguably his most Impressive victory with a 12 round decision over multi time champion and future hall of famer shane Mosley where he showed marked Improvement with more boxing and patience combined with his proven wide array of punches and determination.

While many consider this a "stay busy" low risk, high reward exposure fight as he awaits a possible mega fight with tonights fellow winner or a showdown with the wwe's and widely regarded p4p top champion Floyd Mayweather, his Challenger gomez is looking to turn the boxing world on it's head in the under dog roll.

Alfonso Gomez 18-3-2 ( comes in looking to throw a wrench into the gears of the welterweight Division.Gomez is riding high off the international exposure he has received from his appearance on the recently canceled "Contender" series wher he came up short, splitting two bouts with eter Manfredo Jr. His 2nd to last fight was his arrival onto the scene on July 07 when he squared off against the human high light reel and 2 time champion Arturo :Thunder" gatti.while Gatti's best days were clearly past him ,Many had wondered if Gomez could hang with even that version of the undeniable warrior in Gatti. It became obvious from the outset that Gomez be far more than just a "Gimme" fight. He pummeled Arturo at will and with seeming ease as he absorbed the best shots Gatti could manage...ending matters with a picture perfect straight right hand,Sending The former former champ into a face first and definitive retirement.most recently in December of 07 Gomez has taken a 10 round victory over the perennial battler Ben Tackie.

    Antonio Margarito 34 -5 (24) Vs. Kermit Cintron 29-1 (27)

For Cintrons IBF Welterweight title.Short and sweet here as I should attempt some 'non biased' Assessment. Its tough.A great Rematch to an April 05' match up that saw the then WBO welter champion Margarito making his 5th defense.Margarito overwhelmed the Undefeated power puncher Cintron over 5 rounds and ended matters decisively.Cintron has re-tooled and honed his skills..cough,Added some experienceto his corner and is looking for redemption.

I dont claim to be a body Beautiful when it comes to RBR's,everyone has a certain style and as the coronas go...so goes the keyboard .Important thing is to have a blow by blow for all to contribute and get information to members who are not able to see the fights for themselves.

    Good fight right about now

    round 1 Cotto vs. Gomez

gomez looks so much bigger right off-cotto statring slick-backing up and sliding off back-gomez hopping round and jabbing-cotto looks like he is toying with a mouse-gomez leading as cotto dips down with slight counters-hard two shots from cotto eith right and gomez sticks him in face-cotto shook gomez at bell to body. This should get ugly very suddenly

Damn, Cintron better be glad he won't be fighting Cotto. He would have already quit with the punishment he's dishing out to Gomez. Gomez got heart; I'll give him that.

I can't wait for Cotto/Margarito. Might be the most personally anticipated match I have ever wanted to see. Also Cotto/Mayweather.
