Yeah, it's a kill or be killed world Mongoose can get cobras real good cause' they time their strikes. Cobras always strike downward and mongoose know this and let them tire themselves out, then gobble them up They have a tougher time with spitters though, as they can get blinded.

Also, some specie of mongoose and I believe the honey badger are immune to the venom; which is might helpful
