Default Who were boxings biggest "showboaters"?

I'm definetely not the man on this subject, but I remember someone on here used to always have animated gif's in their sig, and there was a couple where guys were really showing off big time, while pretty much knocking people out.

There was one in particular where this guys does these huge exhagurated high knee lunges then throws this huge uppercut on a guy who was bending down.. I think he might have gold glittery trunks?? If remembers or has that gif that would be a perfect example...

In fact, any cool gifs or vid's would be great to watch.

But which guys really liked toying around and showboating during bouts?

Roy is one I can think of of course. Pernell also did somewhat, but he was just crazy anyway, so maybe that was just him being normal.. Pink haired Mayorga contributing to getting himself KO'd by letting someone have free left hooks on him was also pretty funny.

Pernell was the ultimate showboater. Behind the back punches, punch dodging to his knees, hands at the waist, etc. Pernell was the master at showboating. Camancho, Paez, RJJ, Mayorga, Camancho Jr, Leonard, etc were all good at that

I remember seeing Emanual Burton fight Oliveira and he was doing a sort of dance the whole way through a couple of rounds while still throwing punches, ive seen it on youtube but cant find the vid now maybe someone else cant post it. Makes me laugh everytime I see it.

    Ahh the infamous double punch!LOL

The story behind it on boxrec is actually kinda as strange as the fight itself.

"Referee Steve Smoger temporarily stopped the bout and had the ring physician check Oliveira, after the the boxer began to act strangely. The physician allowed Oliveira to continue. However, when the rest period between rounds came, Smoger called a halt to protect Oliveira, who was taken to the hospital afterward as a precaution."

And we all thought it was Emmanuel acting strange!hehe

I just rewatched this one last week and it was very odd.around the 7th Olivera started holding the back of his head and whincing,He was actually still throwing punches with one hand at the same time. After they allowed Ray to continue....Augustus made it an obvious point to NOT hit olivera in the head,He went soley to the body and almost seemed to be wishing Smoger stepped in,actually looking to him. That is a hell of a place for a fighter to be put in but Augustus showed almost compassion...aside from all of the "Puppet stuff" he was doing .Crazy stuff

For me Its Paez. Max Baer was a little prone to antics.

Any one ever Seen Debind Thapa Out of Nepal? Not so much A showboater but very Awkward and Somewhat looney. He was last Ko'd by Litzau A couple of years ago ,A cross between Hamed And Augustus ,Odd fighter.

Joichiro Tatsuyoshi Of Japan was Very adept at Clowning around once in a while.Love the guy.
