Default Jeff Lacy reluctant to fight Allan Green:may face Spina next

Ex-super middleweight titlist Jeff Lacy (23-1, 17 KOs) is reluctant to face Allan Green (26-1, 18 KOs) in a bout Lacy promoter Golden Boy wanted to make for the May 31 Shane Mosley-Zab Judah undercard, so Lacy might face club fighter Joe Spina (22-1-1, 15 KOs), Golden Boy's Eric Gomez told ESPN.com. Spina's loss was a third-round knockout to Peter Manfredo, whom Lacy struggled to beat in his last fight. Green, however, wants to fight Lacy and Golden Boy would make the fight in a heartbeat if Lacy was willing. "If Jeff Lacy wasn't scared we would be fighting May 31. It would already be announced," Green said. "Just like we should have fought when he called me out the last time and I accepted. If you wanna be a fighter then let's fight. If you wanna be a punk then go play ping pong."

Lacy knows himself he is shot and shit like I do.

Facing Joe Spina Lacy beat Manfredo, Manfredo KO'd Spina in 3, pathetic.

What a joke matchup, next thing Lacy will be appearing on the Contender.

I laughed my a$$ off yesterday when I read this. This is a joke of a fight. Spina sucks. Hell, just a few weeks ago he was downgraded to a 6 round fight.

Did Calzaghe ruin Lacy; or is Lacy just not physically 100% anymore? Spina, lol. Talk about climbing back into the mix using baby steps

Alan Green shouldn't be too hard on other people though, as he has developed some sort of foot fetish with himself. Lacy could win if he timed Alan's footsie fantasizing.

I'm telling you guys there is more to this, guaranteed!!!!! watch and wait on this shiit gets contorted in the media daily, we all know it but we believe it anyway... We know Jeff isint 100% with his shoulder, people say he was shot and all that other shiit but the 1st few rounds against Tyspko has Lacy putting down the hammer on him till he injured his shoulder so I wouldnt be so quick to write him off just yet...

It is a bit of both Lacy was nowhere near as good as he was made out to be, but Calzaghe also ruined Lacy and also the injuries are ruining Lacy at this point as well. Lacy wants a confident booster he has been struggling badly recently so if he can KO the tomato can Spina in good fashion it might give him a confidence boost which he needs.
