Default Hopkins Interview - Have to Agree With Him - LINK

Check this post fight interview out

BBC SPORT | Boxing | Aggrieved Hopkins feels 'robbed'

What he says is true - If you reverse the fight exactly how it was Hopkins would never get the decision in wales or the UK for the performance JC put on and if you deny that your clearly a fanboy.

Joe was the challenger, challenger's have to enphatically win especially in the other boxers country to take the belts away. If hopkins preformed like Jc in wales and Jc was the Champ there is no way in hell he would of got the decision.

Hopkins is in complete denial and would be wise to eat a little humble pie once in a while. He is never able to give any credit to his opponents.

Calzaghe was getting stronger and stronger and took each of the championship rounds. Thats how you take a fight. You outland your opponent by 100 punches and you generally win a fight. You dont win a fight on a single knockdown and a few hard rights.

Why does the challenger need to win emphatically? Are you telling me that if a judge scores it by a round to Calzaghe then he/she should give the fight to Hopkins because Calzaghe didnt win it emphatically on that judges scorecard? Thats some skewed logic. As for Hopkins talking about if he went to Wales and performed like JC...well that sounds completely muddled up.

    Get over it.....Hopkins lost.

People keep bringing up points about home town decisions.

So Hopkins' point is that, because he would have gotten robbed in Wales, JC should have got robbed in Las Vegas? Common.

This is the way boxing works: if you win more rounds than your opponent, you get the decision. It should have nothing to do with who's the champ or who's the hometown boy.

I'm a big B-Hop fan but he lost that fight.

Fukit, no point arguaing Jc won end of, cant do it no more. Hopkins is 43 yrs old man and is a living legend. Jc struggled to beat a old man so that should tell you everything. 5 years ago hopkins wouldnt of got tired late on and would have continued the beating he gave joe in the first half of the fight. end of

None of that is relevant to last nights fight. Calzaghe edged out a decision by a round or two by outworking Hopkins. It doesn't matter what would have happened 5 years ago, what a stupid argument. Fact is, Hopkins gassed out and got outworked.

i dont care what anyone says bernard hopkins is the better fighter. i didn't see calzaghe do anything that he norm does in fights, i didn't see him once look comfortable even when he was showboating.....he did that to try and show he's ok, i never saw him shake hopkins once. where was the pressure, thew 1000 punches, the hand speed his so called skill............ nowhere, he only started doing a bit in the later rounds once hopkins was tired..........when hopkins started late AGAINEST TAYLOR, everyone said yeah well he started fighting in the 9th he should have done so from the begining..........same here joe didn't do jack untill the last few rounds, he missed alot, anything that landed was near nothing in the first 7 rounds

i feel the people of the nevada state commision see this as big buisness and having long running unbeaten guy like calzaghe fight out his own country in vegas for the first time..................looks real bad him loseing a close decition, gives vegas a bad name ( what he's never lost, firt time he fights in vegas againest an america and a close fight goes the other......bloody vegas, thats why the guy never wanted to go there all theses years )

you talk about hopkins eating humble pie.................what about joe, why does he not say he thought he'd lost the fight, because he did, have you ever seen joe and his daddy ever look so panic'd, they felt they'd lost the fight and where hopeing for a favor.......... they got 115-112 and 116-111 do me favor

I have to agree with this dude. Joe only won because hes bigger money now. If hopkins would have won its likely he would retire champion and no more money for vegas. JC win and maybe another couple of big fights in vegas and for golden boy promotion, its all politics

Theres nothing wong with Hopins thinking he won the fight. Hes right that he did everything he said he would and he cant control the judges. If it was in Wales he would have had many point deductions and he would have lost a UD or been disqualified. Thats fact. But he was allowed to fight his fight and came up a little short.

Now those are just a completely ignorant statements.

You guys can't come up with a better argument than that, because that is just grasping for straws there, just like Hopkins is. Hopkins has never been graceful in defeat, and will use any excuse to justify him winning.

Give me a break, no way did Calzaghe outland Hopkins by 100 punches. The rule has always been that challenger should have to win rounds decisively... Mayweather an undefeated champion had to go up and beat Oscar decisively in rounds in order to win... that was a decisive win that got a split decision. B-Hop vs Calzaghe should have gone to B-Hop. As for not winning on a knockdown and a few hard rights, you also shouldn't win by flurrying and missing almost every punch you throw.

Also this wasn't Calzaghe's worst night, I've been saying earlier that movement would always give Calzaghe fits, and that B-Hop would likely lose, but Calzaghe would have a tough time finding Bernard.
