    Default Juan Lazcano

Ok so i admit i openly know nothing about this guy having never seen him or box or even really heard of him until he was announced as rickys next opponent.

Will be at the city of manchester amongst the other 54,999 and like the majority of those attending will be approaching this one with a sense of caution that in lazcano we have a complete unknown quantity that could just throw something at ricky he has never seen before.

The basis of this thread was pretty much to ask those that have seen him in action whether the hitman and his army of supporters have anything to worry about on the 24th??

Im looking at the guys record and im seeing a durable guy thats been the distance with castillo, tackie and harris, is their anything we should potentially be worried about going into this one??

Lazcano is durable but brings nothing that should bother Hatton too much.

The only thing to be worried about is what kind of mental shape Hatton is in. The only thing that can beat him here is himself.

A lot of guys have never been the same after a KO. He'll be doubting himself.

Hope he comes back better than ever, would love to see him fight Witter. Mind you, as discussed, I think the only person in who doesn't want that fight is Rick himself.

Lazcano should be considered a live underdog. Not a huge puncher. Actually prone to tiring in the later rounds as he did against Vivian Harris and Ben Tackie. Likes to mix it up at a medium range without it becoming too much of a brawl. Ricky should be able to get a decision but it'll be competitive especially in the middle rounds.

That in itself comes as a great relief, to be honest ive seen the likes of tackie and harris on endless occasions and wouldnt give either a chance against ricky.

If it does come down to hatton having to take the win on a decision that in itself will surely shelf any future plans of a rematch with mayweather??

Lazcano hasn't fought for 15 months, is coming off a loss to a Witter victim and has been specifically picked because he has NO chance. And, of course, to give Hatton fans a hard-on watching Ricky bully and bash the guy around the ring until they deem his money is earned

Lazcanos as good as done IMO.

He should have beaten Harris and would he had not ran out of gas he would have won. He looked like he'd win some big fights especially around 2000-2001 but then inactivity got the best of him.

Lazcanos def. the right opponent for Hatton. As honest as I can be if Hatton doesn't win this one by TKO I'd die of shock. Lazcano has looked completely out of it as of late and doesn't look focused. I can't see Lazcano being much trouble for Hatton.

Yes, thank god you won't be witnessing a real competitive fight and just a massacre, right?
