Bernard Hopkins - Bad workrate, Clinches too often.
Bernard Hopkins - Bad workrate, Clinches too often.
Tommy Hearns - didnt like to be pushed around , suspect chin.
Hatton - blows up like Rikishi between fights, clinches too much, bad things happen when he comes into contact with a ringpost.
good thread, rep'd.
Throw in a few more
Pavlik-very heavy footed, bit predicable at times, sometimes leaky defense
Anthony and Lamont Peterson-Don't jab enough, cover up for too long a time without throwing anything.
Duran - bad case of Hattonitis. This illness, common among boxers, causes a person to swell to twice their normal size between fights.
Mayweather- Sometimes stays on the ropes ducking and jiving, when his reflexes start to go it may be a detriment.
Jeff Lacy- Blocks more punches with his face than his gloves
David Haye-Cocky with a bit of a chin
Edison Miranda- bit of a porous defense and loops his punces a bit
Pavlik- Plods like a piece of construction equipment
Margarito- Combo of Pavlik and miranda
I got 1 for mah boi Pac.
He still gets off balance everytime he throws the full blast straight left. It's easy for his opponents to counter him if he misses. But I'm glad he's doing a little improvements by being elusive now...

Well Mayweather he like run too much.......![]()
Marco Barrera -
He didnt always take the opponent seriously and would enter the ring not 100% focused ie Pac , Jones
Lennox Lewis -
He didnt always take the opponent seriously and would enter the ring not 100% focused ie Rahman , Mcall
I think in both instances in the rematches they proved that the 1st fights were a fluke.
You beat me to it Bro, I was about to say that.
If PAC can improve his balance when he tries to recover from his lunging straightleft he is pretty much a Tank.
At this stage in PAC's career there is not much to change from him anymore other than maintain his top conditioning and improve his balance.
All in all though he is much improved:
1. His defense improved he was blocking alot of JMM's punches with his gloves.
2. Though still lacking his balance has improved as compared to before.
3. Right hand is big time improvement.
PAVLIK:
Permeable Defense and sometimes plodding.
COTTO:
Not perfect defense but who has, other than PBF![]()
Hopkins-unwatchable these days, doesn't have the legs anymore
Joan Guzman-gets a bit wild at times, doesn't train seriously enough, stamina, lack of big time power
Kassim Ouma-these days, pretty much everything, oh well
Juan Diaz-lack of power, when he gets behind he can't turn a fight around with a big punch, maybe a bit weak in the body, defense could be better
Jorge Linares-stamina looked slightly iffy last time out, can go a bit defensive for too long, chin still a bit of a mystery
Miguel Cotto-chin? not sure if it really is anymore, we'll see, still a bit open for a few punches, overhand right, uppercut
Christian Mijares-power maybe, not a huge puncher, can go a bit too defensive at times
Pac - non. He's just incredible, who else can use his head to block his opponent's shots.![]()
Once in awhile, get outside in fresh air, take a deep breath & with a deep sigh, let out all the things that's bottled up inside you & be free, & you'll get a glimpse of nirvana.
Ikariam
Was going to post something similar, his BIGGEST weaknesses at the moment are his distractions, and apparent loss of interest, from a boxing standpoint he's also easy to hit.
Calzaghe- lost power, believes his own hype and IMO came ill prepared to fight Hopkins,
not talking fitness but strategy or lack thereof.
Danny Williams- the cookie monster.
