Default Punching heavybag, and doing sittups, EVERYDAY?

It's been suggested that you should only do sittups about every other day. Same way with punching on the heavybag. But the problem is, if I go a day without doing them, I feel I really have to work to get into the workout when I do them again.

However, I tried doing them for about 2 or 3 days straight, and the next day I felt my punching power and speed had went up. And with the sittups, I felt my abs were a bit tougher and able to do more.

My question is, what happens if I do them every day? What are the consequences in the long run? (Overtraining, fatigue etc.)?

I'll try doing them about 2 or 3 days, THEN take one day off.

I work out 6 days a week. But that is split into two diff. type work outs that are rotated essentially. Running on Mon. Weights and body weights Tues etc. I think the day rest per specific workout is helpful in recovery and promotes muscle building and increase in cardio.

Then one complete day off to rest the whole shebang. (AND eat pizza)

You can work abs 6 days a week, can't remember why, but it has worked for me. Like Young has said, create a routine which fulfills your goals and rotates the muscles you are using every day.

I work different muscles on different days, but when it comes to doing sittups/crunches, and punching on the heavybag, I don't see why I shouldn't do it every day.

If you're a boxer, the bag should be included daily
(although Scrap will surely prove me wrong)

But seriously, if you're a boxer you punch everyday.

As for the abs. 3 times a week.

Yea I agree with the punching every day. Often if I don't feel like skipping before say a run, I will do pad work as a warm up and down. Or say if I am working on a new combo, introduction something new...I will use the pads a lot for a bit until I feel comfortable using it in sparring.

Ha well you just served up a nice one as I'm warping my mind around the text you just put on screen

    Right....Ok....
So in order to find the best way to tyrain the body I need to locate the details which would stop the body from operating at it's optimum capacity.
    Right so far?

Like....Obviously lack of vision throws off the entire body's balance and timing.......
(This will take me a while to fathom!)
So in order to train the body to increase the body's balance and timing I should train without vision and thus it would improve my balance and timing when I do have my vision.

Is that anywhere along the lines of the concept?

No its not, but at the end of the day its the root cause. Working the body is a balancing act, the body works all or nothing every atom has a job in making it work. Abductors and Adductors make or are a primary tool in the movement of joints being tight somewhere can throw the balancing off. Now if somethings not right with something that works All or Nothing, everything to a degree is, Houston we have a problem

    Okey dokey, I get that.

I've got a hereditary problem with my calves, they get incredibly stiff and have very limited flexibility.

How could that effect my sporting performance?

Greatly,do track stretches before you start your workout,I have very tight hamstrings, trust me it helps.
